The daytime beach club and nighttime party was fun and we stayed at the hotel. Getting in and out is difficult as the road is very steep but there’s a shuttle. It’s 50 euro to go to Sorrento so it’s not the best place for a home base but if you’re there for the beach club and party it’s great!

My stay at Maya Beach Hotel was pleasing and comfortable. I was searching TripAdvisor for a last-minute place to stay in the area and found this hotel. I was relieved when i called late the evening, and Deonna gave me all the information i needed, including directions. The room options were great and very reasonablly priced to my surprise. Me & my fiance stayed in the Jaguar Room for 2 nights and it was so relaxing since we were right on the beach facing the ocean with our own little patio. The room was charming, clean, simple yet stylish. I can't forget to mention the absolutely perfect bed, each morning i woke up so satisfied with this place. The food at the Bistro was just delicious with a variety of menu options. The restaurant closes from about 8pm & we didn't get to use the pool, which are the only reasons this review isn't 5 stars. The property is so peacful with plenty of beach chairs, all the staff are professional and courteous, its the perfect place to relax and only a short drive away from Placencia. We will definitely be returning!

After leaving a prior unsatisfactory rental I ended up at the Maya Beach Hotel. It was a perfect 3 day stay!! When we checked it it was late and I was frustrated from the other rental. Jess at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She was beyond friendly and courtesy. She recommended the attached restaurant Bistro for a bite to eat and it was also amazing. Both the food and staff. I'll review them in a moment. The room was perfect and all staff was outstanding. I will be moving to maya beach in September and plan to recommend this hotel to everyone that comes to visit.

While travelling around Belize, I stopped at Maya Beach hotel twice. Twice because it was such a comfortable easy place to solo travel to. Rooms were extremely comfy with magnificent views. Restaurant very accommodating and comfortable, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the cocktails. The staff were welcoming, friendly and so so so helpful including helping me repair a broken mask I had not managed to repair at a dive shop. And the sea from the pier was gorgeous. Who needs to go diving when so much is right right there! I was so incredibly comfortable and so enjoyed my time at the hotel between more rugged travelling. Thank you so much!

The room and front desk service was great. The food was not so good, very overhyped and I was disappointed with the flavor. Too much salt yet no specific flavor, wait staff were not very attentive and would side eye you so hard if you don't tip (thought tipping was an American thing, maybe not). The beach is not as nice as the one in Hopkin, go there instead if you want a nice beach. Way too much seaweed and the sea was unfortunately quite murky. Otherwise nice amenities, but def not the best value.

The hotel and bistro were excellent they went above and beyond in all areas. Friendly, clean, and very helpful. The food in the bistro was top notch. The peanut brittle pie was to die for. 10 out of 10 recommend.

this is the second time I have stayed here for a night when on my way to a private island the next day. Clean, cute rooms with amazing views. Friendly & helpful staff. if I need to stay in the area again I will be back

My father, husband and I enjoyed 15 amazing days at Maya Beach Hotel and Bistro. I would HIGHLY recommend it. the facilities were immaculate. The food was awesome we tried almost everything on the menu. Some things we had to have more than twice, just to good not to. The new owners are great people. The staff are amazing. You get to feel like family and they are just the best. Not sure I will have room to share all the amazing adventures the friendly and experienced front desk staff arranged for us. Fishing with Brent, ruins with Robin, snorkeling with Annamarie. Do yourself a favor and GO! Say HI to the staff for us if you do. We miss them already. Really one of the best adventures of my life. Can't wait to go back.

Exceptional staff, over the top cuisine at The Bistro restaurant and close to everything . Offers tours and rentals. Close to Placencia Village action but quiet area for a peaceful time away from the hustle down the road
