Driftwood Inn

Fifty Three Years ago I Stayed the weekend in the Original Drift Wood Inn Ocean Front. One Room Large with separate bathroom, living room and then the private bedroom with the beautiful Double Bed which faced the huge sliding glass windows, which those opened out on to the original porch which surrounded the very top floor, floor 2 which you could walk all around the blg and get to any room you would want too, with then the steps leading right down unto the beach, a mere five feet away the Waters of the Atlantic which were for ever working to touch the surrounding room porch supports always a few inches away from popping up the porch floors. Everything was crafted from His genius knowledge of Driftwood's, Ergo our Driftwood Inn. Fort Pierce Fl. I can assure you most of the staff are indifferent now. It's a time share, of which the staff have absolutely no romantic memory of their stay anywhere in the world that made their union above and beyond the known back seat of her or his automobile parked outside the Burger King or Parking Lot of a near by church after hours. By the way. Mine was an extravagant affair with my girl married to another man. Now I tell you. You can't get better then that. Oh , for all you Catholics and other Christian type persons, that is until the KISS CAM Catches your very surprise of your affair revealed to millions upon millions of prime time TV aficionados, whom now brought down the Bravado of all the offending news stations, talk shows, and such, all to your continued shame and cowardice, well We got together, me , the husband, the Wife, and forgave each of us that violation of trust. I remain Single to the day, and He and She re-kindled their original love for each other, and went on successfully with their professional and personal life's One with the other and all the community, whom also took the hit. I took a big hit. I was in his bed with his wife, and as I looked away from his eyes, he hit me hard on the head with the Bottle of Champegne he went out for us all as friends to enjoy. Bottle broke. Simply saving my life and waking me up from being wok. You don't have to understand one thing I just wrote. It's enough you read it, now knowing I understand each and every written word and all their applications, then . 53 years ago, and today, Saturday, July 20, 11:27 am 2025. To Love and to be loved, is more perfect then what you have ever experienced, and to merely entertain it, empowers it for your entire life time, to death do we depart. Have a good one . Life is sudden. My girl , her husband and their 5 children died of smoke inhalation years ago. Out of that, I realized I should always endeavor to be ready to die. Very cute cottages on Sanibel, short walk to the beach. I spent a week here in December with my family. We were the first to stay here after they'd rebuilt post-hurricane. Everything was brand new and clean, and the beds were extremely comfortable, and we had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the screened-in lanai, where we ate our meals and spent a lot of time relaxing. We mostly cooked and ate our meals in, but we were a short walk from a great restaurant, and a short bike ride from other restaurants, shops and a full-service grocery store (that offers delivery). Bicycles were included with the rental, which was great for us, as we did not want to rent a car -- we walked to the beach daily and used our bikes to go everywhere else. A washer and dryer were included (shared with another cottage), along with beach chairs, beach towels and beach umbrella, and a wagon to take it to the beach. This is a great family-run business, and the owners were fantastic, very responsive. If you are looking for a nice, comfortable quiet place to relax and enjoy Sanibel, I highly recommend this spot.
