SeaView is tastefully decorated, spacious and 'eco friendly'. The home is partially powered by solar panels and the water is filtered and treated with a UV light. Should you loose power there is no panic, SeaView has a back up generator that automatically goes on when needed. Transport can be a breeze when you rent a car/bike and/or take the ferries and buses. Surrounding amenities include nearby beaches, grocery stores, pharmacy, playground and transportation all within a short walking distance. The Watlington family have recently created a vacation home in Bermuda, specifically with the nicest people in mind as we share so much history and tradition. Sunset Studio is located on the western edge of Sugar Cane Beach looking out across Mangrove Bay towards the west. It is the sister cottage to Sugar Cane Cottage (www.vrbo.com/3685978), which is located at the other end of Sugar Cane Beach. It is 10 minutes from Dockyard and 15 minutes from the main beaches.It is a single room studio unit with a loft space for sleeping, modelled on the tiny house concept. There is a full king sized bed in the loft area, together with small built in closets either side of the bed. The living area comprises a corner sofa unit that can convert to 2 single beds. The kitchenette is a very compact “galley” style kitchen that has a full stove, under counter fridge/freezer, toaster & electric kettle. Flat screen TV in lounge and loft area with fire tv and firestick, internet access, air-conditioning throughout. The bathroom has a large shower.The unit has direct access to our beach and there are also stairs leading to the waters of Mangrove Bay on the northern boundary. The patio area overlooks Mangrove Bay on the Northern side of the unit. On the Southern side will be a sheltered garden with a bar-b-que area (once the landscaping is finished).The exterior of the unit is designed to resemble the wooden cottages built in Somerset in the late 19th – early 20th Centuries, by West Indian workers who were brought to the Island to work at Dockyard. It's named after Sir Edwin Sandys who made large investments to colonize the parish in early 1600s. The parish name is pronounced as 'Sands'. Sandys has five islands that are joined by bridges. The islands are Ireland Island North, Ireland Island South, Boaz Island, Watford Island and the biggest of all, Somerset Island. The Royal Naval Dockyard where most of the cruise ships anchor, is located at Ireland Island North. Being farthest from the congested Hamilton City, the parish provides refreshing piece and serenity that are quickly disappearing in tourist populated Bermuda.
