Odyssey Luxury Apartments - Back up Generator

這次因為臨時住一晚，選了單間雙床房型。相比套間，單間的房型缺少洗衣機，讓人感覺一下差了好多，沒那麼方便了。且床不是一般的小。

The gentleman at the reception was extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was very basic and standard, but has absolutely everything you need to stay comfortably. Has safe parking as well which is great!

Really good location and very close to the Sandton mall

Unit was very dirty, floor in bathroom covered in hair, and a lot of maintenance is required in the unit. Bath towels are so tiny, and very stained and had hair embedded in the towels Shower had no pressure, shower head attached with tape. Where tiles are broken in the shower the problem was resolved with silicone. Walls and ceiling very dirty and aircons dont work

Great personnel. Very professional and kind. The location is wonderful and safe.

We stayed at Odyssey not so luxurious apartments from the 04 April to the 19th April. The first night the sheets had blood stains and the bed cover also had some sort of stains. We weren't aware of this till the following morning. At night the only staff present is the security and a maintenance guy. They do not have an emergency phone in the apartment. The housekeeping do a very poor job. Many times dishes weren't washed properly. Earlier in the morning when they're cleaning, they're very loud. They take towels before you can even bath and only return them around 5pm. They do not notify guests of loadshedding nor do they have a back up generator in case of loadshedding. We stayed in the dark. During our stay at we had no water nor electricity for two days. The apartment didn't make a plan for water so we can atleast flush toilets. When they changed the sheets for the second time (because they only changed them after a week which I didn't like), they gave us patched up sheets. They had no extra blanket in the wardrobe we had to ask for one several times. They constantly make up something so they can charge us for damages. When we took our grievances to the manager she called her staff in and they all denied all my complaints. It was just back and forth bickering. I felt ganged up on and the manager denied all our complaints. She advised she believes her employees to which they tried to accuse us of the bloodstains on the sheets which clearly looked washed in the fabric. The manager was very rude and condescending to her guests. At some points she was being sarcastic saying she thinks guests wipe dishes with the bath towels. 🙄🙄🙄 I would never recommend this place to anyone, the manager and her "son" (I suppose) are very arrogant people.

My stay was a mix bag, let me start with the bad. I booked a Standard Twin Room which showed a Couch, nice big balcony and a Washing Machine. When I arrived they gave me a narrow room, with a 60cm desk, a stool and a 40cm wide balcony. After a long discussion the 'Manager' told me that I was correct with seeing pics of an Apartment and not the Twin but the description was correct and I should have seen it. Totally false Advertising on their part. They asked now for an extra fee, which I wasnt willing to pay. Long story short: ********* compensated me with a voucher and the Manager gave me a better rate for the room on the pictures I booked. Now the good after the first bad impression. The room were BIG. Nice view, good bed, the cleaning lady, the inside and at the gate guards are very lovely. I spoke to the manger about the deposit issues mentioned on the reviews and she said its a problem with international cards, so I gave them cash which I received back on checkout (exactly the same notes I gave them). What I want to mention to their benefit as well. They have updated the pictures now, which reflects the correct room. I only can recommend the upgrade to the bigger apartment. Its worth the extra money. Overall. If they would have upgraded me based on their mistake it would have been a fantastic stay, The initial discussion and suggestion that I did a mistake by not reading the description even tho the pics showed the bigger room, was just a bad start for a great stay

Zinhle Madlala asked for my bank details and said they would EFT my deposit on the 23rd of December 2021 today it’s the 3rd of January 2022 I still haven’t gotten my deposit! I call today and a lady called Norma at the reception is RUDE as hell!! Telling me how she’ll check she is busy checking in guests like I care I cannot wait for such a long time for a deposit that was supposed to have been processed a long time ago I checked out on the 19 of December 2021 and today on the 3rd of January 2022 they are telling me they still need to check why I was not refunded their service is disgusting!!! I am annoyed!!
