Hotel in zona Urgul mendiko bista, San Sebastián

Let me start with the good news first. This is a wondeful place: A newly renovated and stylefully decorated hotel in a lively neighborhood of San Sebastian. Part of the hotel are also a cafe and wine bar. So why not a best possible recommendation? This is because the management cannot keep up with the expectations set by the place as such. I had booked the hotel in a stressful week with four different countries on my plate. I had hoped to get a bit of rest when I arrived. This is also why I asked whether I could check in early, but I received no reply. It turned out it was not possible when I later arrived. When I then later checked in and tried to have a nap, 15 minutes after I had entered the room, the room service knocked at the door and woke me up. There was also no doorsign to prevent this from happening. What is there to be done 15 minutes after handing over the hotel room? My rest was ruined. Also, the card did not work twice, and the assistant at the reception hardly spoke any English. This is unacceptable for a hotel room that costs over 200 Euros per night. I will not come back.

Nice new hotel just outside of the city centre of San Sebastian. Hotel is clean, modern and new, with good facilities. But inside a interior design crime. Rooms are small, and with a very weird layout (diagonal bed set up) causing the room to feel even smaller. The Minibar & wardrobe is in the bathroom, which is weird as well. I appreciate the try of the architect, but to me its not working. Breakfast is very good and very cheap (Eur 12,-) Overall a good stay, and I would recommend it.

Sarà la zona di Gross, ma la posizione è buona, perché a piedi 10 minuti può arrivare alla vecchia zona!Quando sono stanca di fare il tour del bar, posso tornare a dormire un po' nell'hotel. E'di piu' economico di un hotel nella vecchia città, ho mangiato molto, quindi camminare là e'una buona cosa per me.Ci sono molti ristoranti e bar intorno all'hotel, anche se è molto caldo a sera, quindi anche le donne single non devono preoccuparsi della sicurezza. L'hotel è molto grande, pulito, davvero comodo. Le strutture convenienti includono denti, tazze e tazze di carta, che bevono solo una bottiglia di acqua il primo giorno.La pressione idrica nel serbatoio è forte, la forza eolica del ventilatore è molto alta. L'unico difetto è che non c'è frigorifero. Il ricevitore dell'hotel è anche molto felice, che è una vacanza molto felice. Questo è un ottimo hotel.Se torno a San Sebastian, mi occuperò di te!

Our experience unfortunatly didn’t match the comments we could read on Tripadvisor. First of all the hotel is situated next to train rails. Even with the windows closed you can hear the train and they pass by now and then including early in the morning. If you don‘t like to wake up listening to a train passing by, you may reconsider. Just google-map the hotel and pay attention to how close the rails are… The walls inside are pretty thin too. Being a family with 2 small children we were the ones that sometimes were doing some noise even if we were trying to pay attention to be as quiet as possible. One of the other clients, who complained a bit, qualified them of „paper walls“. Our daughter got sick towards the end of our holidays. We asked for advise at the reception for a pediatrician. We were sent to a place that doesn‘t have a pediatric department, since a while it seems, and doesn‘t take emergencies. It was a nice trip to this „hospital“ with a child who was sick… anyway this can happen… One day our room wasn‘t done, just because we were in the room when they passed and they just pass „once“. No luck… What I couldn‘t tolerate was the situation with the parking… the hôtel has an arrangement with some parking… given that we were staying few days (5 nights) they gave us 2 tickets. One for 3 days and one for 2 days. It seems that a single ticket for 5 days didnt exist (max is 3 days). I make it short we ended up paying almost 2x the parking… exactly 57 eur on top of what was initially arranged because of some „not adequate“ handling on my side with the 2 tickets. I got 0 explanation from the hôtel in this regard before and having to move the car during the night for an emergency (my daughter again), I had no choice to pay to use the car and thought I would arrange the obvious with the hôtel the next day. The only thing I got from them is a „Lo siento“, I am sorry… no refund of what I paid extra, although they fully understood what went wrong. Let’s cash in on all fronts… Hey what’s the problem…. That‘s about how much they care about clients… what an experience. This left me in disbelief. They have some coffee and cake in the hall, that’s nice, but it doesn‘t make up for the rest. With this money (price of the room, which is relatively expensive for what you get, not talking about the additional parking rip off…) you will probably find something better in San Sebastián. Big disappointment, and a big waste of precious time and holidays. My advise? Clearly, don‘t stop there… Lo siento

This is a great hostel. It is clean, they provide very nice breakfast choices as part of the booking. The wash rooms are very clean, showers work great too. They emphasise the need to conserve water and use recycled toilet paper. The staff are really excellent. On every occasion I spoke with someone, they were great, even when they are busy. I have stayed here twice. In 2017 after a Camino hike, and in 2020. It remains the one the best places I've stayed. They have a nice patio area, you can buy a beer from the reception if you fancy, and the supermarket is on the corner. The beach is minutes away (as is the Camino). Overall, full marks!!! I would stay again, and likely will.

La stanza dell'hotel è molto grande, pulita e pulita. Anche la testa può avere molte scelte, molto intime!L'inglese del personale è molto fluido, e introduce attrazioni diverse, molto amichevole e educato! La posizione dell'hotel è lontana dalla vecchia città, ma c'è una stazione di autobus vicino.  Bus può essere raggiunto in circa 15 minuti 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Molto consigliato questo hotel! 😃

L'hotel è situato a pochi passi dalla città e a circa 20 minuti a piedi dalla città antica e dalle spiagge, ma è una bella passeggiata lungo il fiume o ci sono autobus. L'hotel è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e a bus, il personale è eccezionalmente amichevole e utile e ci ha sorpreso molto di quanto fosse buono il colazione - una scelta davvero buona per un piccolo hotel. La nostra camera era comoda, anche se non la più grande, e era molto ben decorata e il letto era molto comodo.

Siamo arrivati dopo un viaggio considerevole e siamo stati molto ripresi dalla zona di accoglienza. Era terribile. Non c'è bar o altrove per un snack e non abbiamo mangiato da circa le 6:00. Ci è stato dato una chiave per la stanza e siamo andati in camera. Mi sono spezzato le lacrime, perché la stanza era così male. Il posto sembrava molto sporco. Le tende erano attaccate dal pollice. All’esterno della zona di seggiolino erano rotti pannelli di vetro (molto pericolosi come potevano rotturarsi in qualsiasi momento). Il mobilio e il pavimento cadono in pezzi. Assolutamente niente come le foto di Expedia che abbiamo prenotato. Il bagno era ancora peggio. Il asciugacapelli era rotto, ancora pericoloso di avere in bagno. Avremmo potuto essere elettrocutati. Sono andato alla ricezione e ho detto al ricevitore che la stanza era insicura e che non ci saremmo rimasti in essa. Mi ha mostrato in un'altra stanza. Era proprio così male. Il tipo di cortina di rete sembrava non essere stata lavata per anni e anni. La mia pelle era prurito. Ci siamo contattati con Expedia che abbiamo prenotato la stanza e gli abbiamo raccontato le questioni. Non erano molto utili. Le foto sui siti web devono essere state prese molti anni fa. Le camere non erano lontanamente simili. Abbiamo trovato un altro hotel e abbiamo detto al ricevitore che andavamo via. La sua risposta era che avrebbe cancellato la nostra stanza comunque dopo che Expedia gli aveva contattato e avrebbe venduto la stanza. Ha anche detto che la stanza aveva tutto quello che era stato annunciato. Le foto sono state prese rapidamente e non mostrano davvero quanto sia cattivo questo hotel.

Vecchio albergo carino. La posizione ai margini di una zona industriale è un po' strana, ma davanti c'è un bel parco. La camera era in ordine e arredata con stile e i servizi igienici erano ok. Era tutto lì. Puoi camminare direttamente in città dall'hotel. Abbiamo mangiato bene qui su consiglio della signora alla reception, perché al momento nel ristorante dell'hotel questo non era possibile. Siamo stati qui per 1 notte e non abbiamo fatto colazione.

Abbiamo prenotato una camera per non fumatori, ma purtroppo non è così. Tornando alla scrivania e chiedendo un cambio di camera, questo non è un problema, scusate per l'inconveniente causato, abbiamo ottenuto un'ottima camera per non fumatori. La colazione al mattino è stata molto ricca e ha soddisfatto pienamente l'importo che abbiamo pagato. Tutto sommato, questo è un ottimo hotel per trascorrere la notte durante il nostro viaggio verso il sud della Spagna?
