Nobu Hotel San Sebastián

Looking for a few days away with my husband, San Sebastian was the perfect choice. After much research we decided to stay at Nobu San Sebastian, this 5-star hotel offers breathtaking views of La Concha Bay (from all areas of the hotel) and combines traditional Basque charm with sleek Japanese design. The rooms are super stylish and comfy, and the amenities are first-rate – think infinity pool, fitness centre and electric bikes available for guests to use. The customer service second to none, nothing was too much trouble. The highlight was by far, dining at the Nobu Restaurant, where the fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours with fresh local produce is simply incredible! The hotel is perfectly located within a stones throw of Ondarreta Beach and La Concha Promenade. Nobu San Sebastian is less than 10 minutes’ walk from the beautiful old town with its famous restaurants, bars, and historical sites. It’s a must-visit for anyone looking to mix relaxation and good food with a bit of culture. We would highly recommend both San Sebastian and Nobu Hotel and restaurant for your next weekend away.

The Hotel was centrally located. Staff was outstanding. From the time you walked in to the time you departed. Restaurant on the 2nd floor was outstanding with the view and food was very good. Drinks on the patio at night was very nice. Rooms were very spacious.

The hotel is okay, it’s over priced for the level of service you get (and location). We were not blown away by the service. The location is a bit far from where you want to be (eg Parte Vieja). In summary, nothing amazing about the hotel justified the high price point. But the rooms are nice!

Staff and property was absolutely amazing would highly recommend to anyone. Great knowledge of surroundings and heritage of the Basque people friendly, personable, willing to go to any length to provide a great experience. Please try this for yourselves

Breakfast was included with the room and included juice, fresh fruit, bread basket, espresso, coffee, or tea along with an a la carte menu featuring Nobu/Matsuhisa takes on breakfast classics like a Matsuhisa Benedict as well as Basque inspired dishes like pan tomate y jamon iberica.

What a beautiful hotel. Nobu Hotel is small - 17 rooms - well-appointed, and oh so comfortable. From the location overlooking Kontxa bay to the music in the terrace and lobby to the design and furnishings, Nobu exudes cool and calm. Our rooms and the terrace restaurant - open for breakfast, lunch, and drinks - overlooked the bay. It’s a short walk to San Sebastian’s beautiful beach with swimming platforms and kayaks for rent. The breakfasts! You haven’t lived until you’ve had a Matsuhisa Benedict. Or Nobu’s version of pan con tomate y jamon iberica. Plates of fresh fruit. Baskets of breads and croissants. Omelettes made to order. The menu at Nobu restaurant, which was open for dinner, matched Nobu and Matsuhisa stateside. The staff is attentive and accommodating. We just returned home, but are looking forward to our next visit already.
