Hotel in zona Mirador de Sant Pol de Mar, San Pol De Mar

Stayed here for 1 week end of August 2023- been home a day. Have to say was not impressed with my stay at all. Most probably best to bullet point why as follows: Positives Air con in the bedrooms Mini fridge in the bedroom to store own drinks Room was clean Cleaners came regularly Breakfast was nice- variety of pastries, full English, fruit, tea, juice etc. the dessert at dinner was nice. Negatives • On my third day I was informed by a member of staff and saw on arrival 90 students check in- some of these students were staying in the room next to mine. On the third night they played music full volume from the TV which was on the wall on my side at 11pm at night- I complained and the staff member informed me there had been other complaints already. The students then left at midnight and came back at 3 or 4am banging doors, knocking on other students doors, laughing, being genuinely loud with no consideration for anybody else. This happened again on the three other nights throughout my stay each time I complained and was informed teachers had been told and were dealing with it- this did not happen. At one point I was banging on the walls at 4am as they were clearly taking the piss. I asked to move rooms the day before I came home so I could at least get one decent night sleep due to an early flight and was told the hotel was full. Another member of staff with whom I complained to at 11.45pm told me he did not understand it and had noticed them all coming back drunk at 4am and agreed feeling that security should have been on sight with there being so many. It felt like a child’s playground. • The lifts took forever and when your on a higher floor you could be waiting a while to be able to get a lift to come up or a lift would come up that is full • the food in the evening was bland and not very child friendly for families with children who had a choice of cold chips or burnt sausages the majority of my stay. The bread at times was stale. I had chicken one night which when I sliced into was pink on the inside. The rice was cold, a lot of fish options which is good if you like fish which not all people do. • if you pay half board which I did you are given only tap water with your evening meal whereas the all inclusive members are given bottled water- the tap water came in jugs and was warm the majority of the time. I was informed when I asked for the water the all inclusive guests got that I can’t have it as it tastes different- I found this basic. Basic treatment for people who pay half board an expect to get at least a decent cold glass of water with their evening meal if not entitled to any other drinks like the all inclusive members. • you now get charged a tourist tax on arrival which I’ve never known before coming to this hotel • the entertainment was poor in the evening- it included 25 mins of the same nursery songs sang every evening for a lot of children who were over the age of 7- one night they played a game after this where p

Hotel Check in a Urban room with Balcony Street View, room massive, clean and modern, plenty of storage, King size bed, large light windows with electronic screens for privacy, refrigeratore, TV, Telefono, safe, WIFI, desk, divano. Le letti erano spaziosi e super comodi! Un po 'di rumore fuori, ma niente di intrusivo. L'hotel offre due piscine, abbiamo pagato un extra per il Lounge Sky e vale ogni penny, vista sul mare, piscina panoramica e molte sale solari. Abbiamo pagato 20 euro al giorno, ma gratis se siete in camera o in camera della natura. Per 20 euro abbiamo avuto grandi viste, grandi servizi e occasionalmente complimentari trattamenti, croissant, champagne, succo di frutta. Abbiamo pranzo ogni giorno e il cibo era eccezionale. Mangiare Il buffet del colazione non era niente che avessi mai visto per un hotel, l'abbondanza di cibo offerto e la qualità era fuori di questo mondo! Il ristorante era super pulito, il personale carino e amichevole. In vegeteria, ero ben curato. Il miglior buffet che avevo mai avuto, vorrei che più hotel seguire la stessa qualità e lo stesso standard. In generale, l'ho amato, era una pausa di fine settimana e non posso aspettare di prenotare di nuovo! Se vuoi andare a rilassarti con la spiaggia sul tuo passo, questo è solo il posto!

Personale gentilissimo è molto professionale, mare vicino e comodo da arrivare, per una vacanza rilassante lo consiglio, cibo ottimo. Consiglio i cocktail del bar, molto migliori a quelli che trovereste, al centro città. Se non parlate bene lo spagnolo, nessun problema, quasi tutto il personale parla l'italiano.

We have just returned from our first family holiday abroad (having travelled alot pre kids) and stayed at the hotel bernat. It is an amazing hotel! The whole hotel is spotless and modern. Our room was perfect with 2 x double beds and balcony overlooking the pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the young male waiter who was there most days and one of the restaurant hosts (male, curly hair!). The cleaners do a great job freshening up the rooms everyday and the reception staff were always happy to help. I used the spa once which was lovely. This was our first holiday with food included so I have no base for comparison, but we thought it was fantastic! Lots of variety, fresh, yummy! All the restaurant staff work so hard and it's a lovely place to eat. They made us a free packed lunch and breakfast a few times during the week when we were out for the day/catching an early flight home which we really appreciated. The swimming pool was perfect for us, the boys spent most of the time in the smaller kids pool. Location is great, just a couple minutes walk from the beach and a short walk from the town centre, both of which were lovely! Calella is well connected, and we took the train direct to both Barcelona and Girona for day trips which were brilliant. There is a land train which goes around Calella and stops right outside the hotel which the boys loved. We couldn't have asked for more for our first family holiday - thank you hotel bernat!
