The Lodge at ChaaCreek

Sept 3-6, 2024 We were a group of 6 and stayed in the 2BD Ix Chel Villa and Junior suite. The 2BD villa has a hot tub in addition to the pool. The junior suite has a pool. Both have air conditioning. The 2BD villa has a large living room/dining room area that was perfect for us to gather in between our actives. There are games, cookies, and coffee bar in the room. No Tv. We had a private butler who was professional, helpful and fun to be around. It was my birthday and she set us up a dinner party in a private area and had it decorated with balloons, flowers and a birthday dessert. She did this on her own. We did not request it! A daily breakfast was included and it was delish. Lunch and dinner were reasonably priced and excellent. We only stayed 3 nights b/c we moved to Manta Island for the 2nd half of the trip. But we wish we could've stayed one extra night. One the first full day, we took an offsite cave tubing and maya ruins tour (St. Leonards), came back around 7 PM for a beautiful outside dinner and did the night hike. Next day we were able to tour the butterfly house and museum, take a cooking class, a do the onsite side by side tour of the property. All were great fun. - If we had more time we would have taken a canoe ride down the river or done horseback riding. Weather was great except for arrival day- it was a monsoon, but it was over in about an hour.

Hard to write a review to do justice to the resort. From the moment we arrived to the moment we were dropped off at our next resort the service and attention to detail were immaculate. We stayed for 4 nights in the Wright house which was ideal for our family of five. It was really comfortable and loved sitting on the chaise lounge before dinner looking out at the mountains and listening to the wildlife. It is a 5min walk to the resort but an uphill 10min walk back which was no issue. The food at the restaurant was the best we had in Belize. The breakfast was my personal favourite. The grounds and the infinity pool are fantastic. The bar with the rum infusions was great for pre and post dinner drinks (the guava kiwi mojitos were so good). Did the canoeing trip to the market and horse riding which were excellent. Don’t think about it - just go, you won’t regret it

Gorgeous property with many nature trails, beautiful pool, butterfly conservatory, canoes and tubing plus horseback riding. The staff is simply wonderful. They truly go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating The food was consistently wonderful as were the cocktails. It is THE place to go in this area of Belize. Many of the rooms do not have air conditioning so I would recommend getting a room with AC.
