Maraica San Pancho Rooms

While visiting friends who were staying at the hotel, I was instantly disturbed when I noticed large foul smelling puddles everywhere in the street to the side of the property where I parked. My friends also noticed this. Overall, they were really disappointed with their stay, but I will let them complete the details with their own review. I asked some people in town about the puddles that never dried out even though there was no rain at all during our time in San Pancho. They told me that the hotel has a really bad sewage problem. Hopefully, unsuspecting guests and the town doesn't continue to suffer from the hotels negligence to deal with its sewage system in a way that doesn't mean sewage overflowing into the street.

Costumer service is poorly. They don’t make you feel welcome. The recruitment is not at the standards of their hotel rates. They should hired professional that know the field instead of hiring cheap labor.

Had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Mariaca hotel. First, I loved that it was an eco-hotel - they use solar power, reduce waste, compost and most of the food from their restaurant is grown in their farm or with local producers! Next, the room was lovely. With big windows and sliding doors, it felt like we were constantly connected to nature. Falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing. Waking up with the rays of light bouncing in the room. Swinging in the hammock on the balcony. It was so magical. Having the pool there was amazing for the hot days in the sun. And the beach, about a minute away was perfect. The restaurant was also amazing - they had so many great vegan options for every meal. Plus, having wifi there, I was able to work remotely. I would have like to have wifi in the room too, but not having it allowed me to disconnect, which was nice too. I highly recommend staying here. It's such a great place with a great eco-friendly mission!

My partner and I recently spent three wonderful nights at Maraica. The second we walked into the property, we instantly felt relaxed. The lush gardens, ocean views and palm-thatched rooves oozed tropical vibes. Our room was beautiful, with a simple tropical design, stunning ocean view, comfortable hammock on the balcony, extremely comfortable bed and pillows and a blissfully hot, high-pressure shower which isn't common everywhere in Mexico! The rooms don't have airconditioning, but this wasn't a problem at all. The design of the rooms and the ocean breeze keeps them cool, and there were ceiling and pedestal fans if we required them. The Wifi doesn't reach the rooms deliberately, to encourage guests to unplug and disconnect, and whilst it would have been nice to have, the forced time away from work and our phones was refreshing. The on-site restaurant Muvieri was an absolute highlight! They serve fresh, healthy food such as smoothie bowls, avocado toast, poke bowls and salads at a really affordable price. Usually, we prefer to eat outside of the resort, but we didn't want to miss any meals at Maraica they were so good! We spent our days doing yoga on the stunning yoga deck (mats provided), lounging by the pool which was never too busy, and watching the sunset over the ocean from our balcony. It really is a place to relax and recharge, and the atmosphere matches that. The sustainability initiatives at Maraica is what attracted us to the hotel and we were impressed with their environmental consciousness. The property is not only powered with solar power, there is also a strong desire to conserve power by removing unnecessary appliances such as air conditioners and televisions. Wastewater from the property is recycled and reused for the gardens. And you won't find a single-use plastic item anywhere. Bathroom products are organic, and locally sourced in refillable bottles. There are filtered water stations with glasses all over the property, eliminating the need for plastic bottles. And no styrofoam, straws or plastic cutlery is used in the restaurant! All in all, a relaxing and rejuvenating stay at Maraica. We highly recommend it.

El quedarse en este hotel es toda una experiencia, no lo hagan en temporada de lluvias, entre este y el año pasado me he quedado como 4 veces por el ir a desconectarme. Las fotos no están actualizadas, le falta mucho mantenimiento pero es una gran experiencia, antes el personal de cocina era HORRIBLE, pero en esta ocasión fue muy placentero. Quiero darle mención HONORÍFICA a la súper gerente SAM mi más profundo respeto por esta joven que se ve que tiene la camiseta bien puesta y da la cara por todo lo malo, incluso si sale de sus mano. Es una hormiga obrera, la verán en todas partes haciendo de todo y un excelente ser humano, solo por ella hemos vuelto, creo que es un talento desperdiciado este lugar.
