We did not stay in the hotel, but did eat at the wonderful restaurant. The food is extremely delicious and well-prepared with a variety of options, including vegetarian. The service was very attentive and knowledgeable. The hotel and restaurant's decor can best be described as lifted from Great-Grandma's living room and gardens, if Great-Grandma was the coolest woman on the planet in her day. Very eclectic. Very stylishly up-cycled. There's a decent wine selection. While there aren't a ton of great restaurants in El Valle to choose from, this one is actually worth a trip from Panama City for a special lunch and a chance to get out of the heat and enjoy El Valle's spectacular views.

Lovely cosy little boutique hotel. Went as part of a bird watching tour - there were 12 of us and we basically took over the grounds, it became like staying at a friend’s house. Rooms are well proportioned and clean, all with AC. Service was amazing - the staff was wonderful and helpful whether it was about laundry or more towels etc. Food was excellent breakfast, lunch and dinner. You also have the option of sitting outside to eat in the gardens, and you should! It’s great! One last thing. The hotel has rather eclectic decorations. It’s a place on its way to becoming maximalist in terms of decor, but not entirely there yet. It may work for some, it may not - I found it quite charming.

We stayed three nights at Casa Tierra Madre and enjoyed our experience greatly! The interior and courtyard decor were just amazing, beautiful and comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and we had fantastic dinners each night. The food so deliciously prepared and presented and every dish was exceptional. Most importantly the service was outstanding! Ceasar was our man and took good care of us, assuring everything was perfect. It was nice to have a rental car because the hotel is a short drive from the main town. We all had a wonderful time and highly recommend Casa Tierra Madre, if you are looking for comfort, great food and fantastic service!

A beautiful, unique property with quiet, peaceful spaces that are full of art and a wonderful garden. The rooms are comfortable and extremely clean with good air conditioning. The restaurant has lots of choices and the food is excellent. On top of all of this, the service provided by Cesar is exceptional! He was always smiling, friendly and very helpful. He made recommendations on restaurants in town and things to do, including arranging a bird guide for us. There is some traffic noise during the day (it is very quiet at night). You need a car as it is a 10 minute drive out of town.

What an amazing place! Hidden in a beautiful lush garden setting, only a few minutes from the village of valle de Anton is Casa Madre Tierra. Well trained attentive staff. Fabulous rooms with the most comfortable beds. Gourmet food. A wonderful place to spend a few days relaxing in natural surroundings. Compliments to the owners for creating this gem! Definitely worth a second visit!

Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding is hier zoek. Eigenaren zeggen geen boe of ba tegen je. Ligt aan de doorgaande weg, heel veel lawaai v vrachtwagens. Tuin is mooi maar helaas geen ligstoelen. Kwaliteit eten was erg goed. Itt website elke dag mogelijk. Geen enkele hulp bij vraag over wandeling. Niemand doet poging om Engels te praten We hadden de suite, was een donker langgerekt hok geplakt aan de receptie. Was bijna lachwekkend. Helaas voor 2 dgn betaald , toch na 1 nacht weggegaan. Bed was 1.40 breed, steile trap naar boven. Hele dag moest het licht aan. Voor ons absoluut geen 2e nacht.
