Mi sorprendeva molto di vedere che il custode non veniva a casa ogni giorno; ovviamente, l'ho trovato una volta tornato nella mia stanza dopo averla lasciata tutto il giorno, e la stanza era esattamente come l'avevo lasciata. Ho chiamato il dipartimento di frontiera per vedere se la custodia era ancora in arrivo e in quel momento mi è stato informato che servivano la stanza solo dopo che abbiamo controllato, ma che eravamo più che benvenuti a venire al dipartimento di frontiera per asciugamani freschi. Mi sorprendeva perché Covid era finito e vorrei che me lo avesse detto quando mi avevo reclutato, ma la stanza era ben mancata e la lobby era bella. E' stato bello avere un'opportunità di acquistare colazione nel lobby, ma quando ho ordinato l'avocado tostato, mi è stato detto che erano fuori di avocado. Non molto, ma solo un altro controllo nella colonna negativa.

Horrible experience. Poor customer service by Iris. Stayed for a local youth soccer tournament. Arrived late around 11pm Friday night after long drive. Checked in and when attempted to enter room key didn't work. Came back down. New keys provided. After entering the room the room had very strong odor. Came back down to front desk they offered the clean room but that would not eliminate the odor. Requested another room. Hotel rep stated another Queen was not available. They then reluctantly offered a single King room for 3 people. I explained that this was not large enough for us and neither of the 3 of the party could sleep on a sofa sleeper. Front desk clerk Iris was very irritated with us not sure why. Was not empathic to our situation. I then suggested 2 King adjoining rooms so we could have 2 beds and still be together. Even though it did show as available Iris stated she couldn't do that. Finally they did provide this option and provided the keys to the 2 adjoining rooms. My wife and daughter entered one of the rooms and there was someone already sleeping in there. She was shaken up. After going downstairs once again to front desk Iris didn't seem concerned by this mistake or even apologize. This is a serious safety issue. We could have been harmed. She kept typing things into the computer without even explaining what actions she was going to take to correct. Eventually she said she couldn't give us 2 Kings once again. She said she couldn't help us and would just cancel our reservation. I said no and she needed to help try to resolve. Then she said she would just call the non-emergency police line even though we did nothing to threaten anyone. The other desk clerk told her it was not necessary. I explained to her we were here with a large group for the youth soccer tournament. She didn't care. She then proceeded to talk about me in front of me to the maintenance employee. Staci then offered to help and suggested 2 kings that were not adjoining. This wasn't ideal since I didn't like being separated from my family but we took this option. Staci suggested working it out with manager in morning. Staci was helpful and trying to solve our problem but Iris didn't have any empathy and just wanted to get rid of us even though it was the hotel's fault. Iris needs to be retrained on customer service and customer empathy. Our group had other issues with this hotel as well including 4th floor smelling like ****, Doors not working on one hotel room where door had to be taken off, Being told by a worker not to let our teenagers be alone in hotel lobby as there were homeless people, and loud young guests drinking and smoking. Majority of our large group left the next morning due to all these problems. Discussed with manger the next morning (Ashley) and she was apologetic and did assist in finding us another hotel to move to. This was not what we expect from Marriott hotels.

We stayed here for 3 nights while visiting our daughter for her graduation from Ft. Sam Houston. This location is absolutely PERFECT! We've never been to San Antonio before and knew we wanted to stay on or at least near the Riverwalk and this hotel does not disappoint. LOCATION: Right on the Riverwalk, there are actually a couple of different ways to access the paths. One from the back side entrance and one from the front and across the street. This location is right near all of the dining, shops, bars, and the Rio boat tours. Based on location, I would stay here again. ROOMS: We were in a two queen room with our two kids, ages 8 & 10, and it was a great size. We had a fridge and microwave which was handy for any leftovers or drink to keep cool. The bathroom was spacious although not a lot of storage especially for a family of 4. FACILITIES: This hotel does NOT include breakfast OR parking but the Valet service is amazing. Very prompt, friendly, and quick to return with our rental car. They also have free water bottles at the entrance. The very best breakfast you'll find about two blocks away at La Panaderia - it was so good we ate there three days in a row! The hotel restaurant is only open for breakfast and dinner and unfortunately the bar doesn't open until 5PM. However there is a small market area where you can buy snacks and beverages at all hours. The lobby is comfortable and we gathered here multiple times to relax for a bit. The pool is teeny tiny but my kids had a great time cooling off there in the evenings. We didn't use the gym but saw many do so from our view at the pool. STAFF: HUGE shoutout to Becky! She was incredible! She was able to get two of our rooms on the same floor which was handy. She also gave us so many amazing restaurant recommendations (including La Panaderia!) that we took advantage of. OVERALL: I would stay here again BUT I would like choose the Drury instead because of the free breakfast, evening snacks, and happy hour. Regardless this is a fantastic hotel and you can't go wrong staying here!

Le camere erano pulite e così bello e cool quando siamo andati dal nostro primo volo. Haley al di fuori del desk era pieno di sorrisi, informazioni utili e persino la sua ombra personale, come abbiamo lasciato in pioggia e tempesta! Kay era al di fuori del divano quando siamo tornati dal fiume Walk. Era una vita salvatrice BC che noi eravamo così stanchi e avevamo solo bisogno di un po' di cibo veloce. Ha raccomandato un Dash della porta e il problema risolto. Oscar era al Front Desk per tutta la notte, e ha aiutato con un problema di rumore in alto che apprezzavamo, e c'era anche un altro giorno di turno di giovane donna al desk con un sorriso adorabile e capelli lunghi marroni che ci ha fatto una foto, ma noi gli spediamo il suo nome. E' stata un'esperienza eccellente e rimarremmo sicuramente qui di nuovo.
