Votsalakia Hotel

I travelled by myself and was received with a very warm welcome. The hotel is charming, the staff is wonderful and very caring, and you feel at home away from home. Comfortable, authentic, and amazing hospitality from start to finish. You get peace and quiet in a buzzing little village, with anything you could possibly need. The beach is clean and the sea is heavenly. Even in hot temperatures (+30°C) you'll find a comfy sunbed 2m away from the water for a cool down, or enjoy great food and drinks at the café or tavern just above the beach.

Had problem with air conditioning, shower floor drain and toilet. Breakfast is small - I would have hoped fruits. Swimmingpool is small, but luckily the beach is right next door. Hotelstaff are ok, Taverna staff are very friendly. Room was small but nice and tidy.

The amazing family that runs the hotel are more than just business people... they become Family.. They are kind and loving people that makes the holiday amazing! They are great with kids and nothing is to much for them! Just because of this hotel and the family we come back every year! Thank you so much for the most amazing experience and amazing holiday we get every time we go to samos!

Very cosy, nice hotel. Not luxurious, but more than satisfactory. Very friendly staff, from the receptionists to the cleaning lady to the generator! Always a friendly smile, and very helpful. The room was very nice; perfect size, air condition and a small kitchen area. Nice pool area, and the beach only a few meters away. If you want lunch, you can order from the beach bar/taverna, and they will bring it to you if you prefer to eat by the pool. I will definitely visit again!

This hotel is getting two stars out of five only because of the location. The hotel by itself is not more than one star and let me tell you why. The rooms are outdated and wasn’t even properly cleaned when we arrived. The push button on the toilet was broken and so was the TV our entire trip. We mentioned it to the reception who first told us they were looking into it but when we reminded them they gave some lame excuse instead. The staff is alright but doesn’t do anything extra at all. There’s air condition for 10 euro/day and the safety key also cost extra. The beds are super hard and so is the pillows. It’s two small beds pushed together not a master bed. On top of that the room isn’t soundproofed at all so you can hear everything that is going on in the corridor. I haven’t slept this bad in my entire life really. The breakfast is super simple. It works but we really missed some kind of fruit, the only vegetables/fruit they had was cucumber and tomato. The dinner however, we tried to eat it the first day but left and never came back. First of all you don’t get to choose what to eat. They serve you whats for dinner that day and don’t even tell you what it is. One of us has allergies and when we asked they didn’t understand the question first. The food was… well, not tasty at all and we’re not even that picky. I highly recommend to eat dinner in the town instead, there’s some really nice spots with fantastic staff and food! On the positive note, the hotel is really nice located and you can get sun beds on the beach by ordering something for minimum 5 euros by the always lovely staff at Votsalakia Beach Bar. With that said, we loved the town and the beach but would highly recommend to stay somewhere else. This hotel really need to focus on some renovations.

Great hotel, great personel, always friendly and helps you whenever you have questions. All in all great week. Their deluxe room is just what you need in a week. The food is great and has a lot of diversity. Location is great aswell it is close to the beach Greetings, The lucky ones 😉
