South Broadway Manor

A friend recommended this place when we decided to see Fallingwater. It's a gem, the owner Pat has restored this home and made it into an bed and breakfast. Each room has a theme, we stayed in the Crystal Rose room which was feminine and romantic. Pat gave us a tour of the home and we got to see each room as the other rooms were empty that night. The breakfasts are homemade and delicious. There are also snacks and breakfast items like cereal and oa**eal if you can't make it to breakfast between 9-10am. Pat is very warm and friendly, gave lots of good recommendations in regards to food and activities. She had lived in NYC for a while so knows what is NYC quality food. We were celebrating my husband's birthday so it was sweet she sang happy birthday to him at breakfast and left us some sparkling cider. We really enjoyed our stay there and highly recommend staying here.

During our journey to see Fallingwater by Frank Lloyd Wright, my mother and I were fortunate to spend a captivating night at this historic home filled with remarkable collections, including Civil War memorabilia and hidden whiskey compar**ents from the Prohibition era. The owner's evident dedication to preserving this heritage made our stay even more enriching. The personal tour added depth to our experience. Our individual rooms exuded elegance and charm, complemented by gas fireplaces. This stay allowed us to appreciate the contrasting histories between this remarkable Pennsylvania house and the unique narrative behind Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater. It was truly fascinating to witness and be part of two distinct yet equally intriguing chapters in history. we also really appreciated the pantry with goodies, coffee, and tea, not to mention the incredible breakfast in the morning, which was cooked for us by her assistant. Thank you so much to our incredible hostess!

The house was absolutely beautiful, quiet, and a wonderful step back in time. The best part of our stay, however, was conversing with the innkeeper. I wish we had had more time to talk!

The property was everything I was expecting and more. We especially enjoyed all the rich history.

Loved this B&B! The house was an old manor home from the early 1900's. Each guest room had a theme. My room was the Victorian Room. It was beautifully decorated, cozy and had its own private bathroom. Although the B&B was styled with old furnishings, it did still have modern conveniences such as an air conditioner, TV, device charging outlet, and a bathroom with modern fixtures. I liked that I was not lacking in modern convenience but still felt like I was visiting great grandma's house. The door had an antique lock with a skeleton key which was cool. I must admit, the lock was a challenge and not as easy to use as I had expected. I did practice with the lock a few times before I left my room in search of dinner. The B&B has off street parking which I liked. Parking at B&B is always a concern for me. Many times the facility does not have enough parking for the available units. That was not the case at this B&B. I only stayed for one night and had an early departure which made it impossible for me to be available when breakfast was served. Breakfast was served between 8am and 10am. I told the proprietor this was not a problem but she was kind enough to have the cook prepare an early breakfast for me. The extra effort and hospitality was greatly appreciated. Know before you go: The B&B uses a self check-in process. I reserved my room online using a hotel booking site. The online site reserves rooms by the type of bed in the room. The B&B reserves rooms by the name of the room. This made it harder when I did the self check-in because my confirmation did not indicate the name of the room, only that I had reserved a room with a queen sized bed. Everything was resolved without issue once I spoke to the proprietor but this is something guests should know before arriving.

Had an amazing stay. Wonderful healthy breakfast and great dinner recommendation. Especially enjoyed hearing the history of the house and visiting with the owner. Hope to come back again!!

Pat was a great hostess and took great pride in her B&B. We loved the history of the property and the fact Pat took the time out to share that with us.

The interior of the house is furnished with antiques. Everything was done with with a very high level of quality. Pat, the owner is very gracious. The after dinner snacks were delicious . I would definitely stay there again.
