Le Clos Saint Jean

Second time staying at Le Clos Saint Jean. Still 5 stars, in every way!! Caroline is second to none in her hospitality and the place is perfectly located for a Normandy holiday, or a WW2 history trip. Took my wife here and it was as expected: Magnifique!! Great for a couple or small family. Free parking. Good wifi. Local breakfast foods. Walkable to the beach. A wonderfully authentic French Country stay.

My wife and I stayed here during a long-anticipated trip to Normandy. We were absolutely charmed by Caroline and her beautiful home. She met us in the courtyard and showed us to our room, which was private and perfect. Her warmth and patience with our non-existent French was so genuine and welcoming. The property is nestled in a quiet community on rolling hills above the eastern edge of Omaha Beach. We walked about 10 minutes down the only street to find the beach. The only other people were locals picking mussels from pools left behind at low tide. We were so pleased to find ourselves on such hallowed ground with nothing around but cliffs and the English Channel. Caroline recommended an excellent restaurant in Port en Bessin for dinner, and we woke around 8:00am to roosters crowing (not in a bad, wake you up too early way, but a charming French farm country way), and a delicious breakfast in the morning. I can’t recommend Le Clos Saint Jean enough and will be back next time we’re in Normandy. Oh, and what a great price!

A beautiful B&B, gorgeous surroundings, very peaceful and quiet. Caroline, our host, was most accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. She made a delicious breakfast and gave us good recommendations regarding D-Day museums / sights in the area. The room itself was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful three-night stay in a family suite. The B&B is clean, beautiful and comfortable and a great value. Caroline was a wonderful host, going out of her way to help us with anything we needed. Nice location - quiet and relaxing, a short walk to a beach, and short drive to restaurants, shops and D-Day sites. And the breakfast was delicious! 100% recommend.

C'est notre deuxième séjour au Clos Saint Jean 2 ans après le 1er. C'est toujours un régal ! Caroline est au top (petits-déjeuners maison, conseils, accueil ... ) Maison, chambres, localisation parfaites Je recommande comme base pour découvrir les lieux historiques du débarquement. Si nous revenons dans la région, nous irons de nouveau au Clos Saint Jean !

Si j’avais pu mettre plus que 5/5, je l’aurai fait. L’endroit est magnifique, autant extérieur qu’intérieur, tout est très soigné. Caroline, l’hôte, est formidable, d’un accueil incomparable, aux petits soins et pleine de bons conseils sur les visites alentours. Le petit déjeuner qu’elle nous a servi était extraordinaire, produits faits maison et choix varié. Elle nous avait même préparé une spécialité locale que nous avons eu le plaisir de déguster. Son mari Laurent est également très sympathique. Possibilité d’acheter du cidre, pommeau, jus de pomme et autre sur place. Je recommande à 100%
