Hotel in zona Tatihou Maritime Museum, Saint-Vaast-la-Hougue

We were fairly lucky to find this place ( last week of February is a holiday one in this part of France). We didn't expect luxury at the very cheap price we were offered, but we surely didn't expect the manager to be awaiting us as we arrived, showing us the car parking space, our room, asking us whether we needed help in booking a meal...The buffet breakfast was excellent value for money, and again charming service, help and information. The room itself was pretty basic, but just for the one night: and in the end, there was everything one needed. Three minor points of this room which just happened to be the one for disabled guests. The front door was not easy to close and lock from the outside, the wifi was hopeless (great in the breakfast room) and bathroom was much too big for the single radiator.

Un hotel ben situato nel cuore di una zona commerciale, ben situato rispetto agli assi stradali e facile di accesso. Personale più o meno accogliente secondo le persone, camere da vedere tuttavia ... Un piccolo sasso senza luce o si deve tenere la porta per podere aprire la porta della camera, senza isolamento, molto poca assorbimento elettrico e mal posizionato, una camera da bagno particolarmente piccola, il battito dei bagni che non si tiene, cuscini e tappeti talvolta mal lavati con compiti, letto piuttosto comodo in generale. Adatto per un breve passaggio nell'angolo ...

Un edificio insolito in cui tutte le camere hanno porte che guidano direttamente fuori, quindi non ci sono corridoi come questo. Il parcheggio era ampiamente gratuito, ma al check-in al pomeriggio il ricevimento era chiuso e dovevo usare una macchina automatica per ottenere il mio codice per la stanza. La stanza era molto compacta rispetto all'Hotel B&B di Ouistreham. La doccia era spazzata e vecchia con cortina piuttosto che con uno scudo di vetro. Il legno era pulito. La stanza era spartano in tutto, come si aspettava da questa catena hotel. Ho avuto una buona notte di sonno, quindi non mi sono lamentato di questo. Si trova nelle periferie della città con facile accesso stradale al porto di traghetto e le principali rotte est e sud.

We came here with a whole group of students. The students had a blast and we all slept very well. The rooms are clean, spacious, quiet, and the women working there were very welcoming and nice. Our tour company had ordered terrible meals but that has nothing to do with Adonis Grandcamp. Those of you complaining about their meals have to talk directly to their tour company. When they saw our students’ frustration (and ours), the owner decided to serve us a wonderful breakfast with ham, cheese, bread, croissants, and much more. I recommend 100%. I would actually love to come back on my own.

I have been staying here for 10 years, twice a year for business reasons. the hotel is generally clean and comfortable. after staying in room 115 this time, i was disappointed to see the shower doors gone. on reporting this, i was told they had fallen off, and not replaced. this made showering very difficult. the view out of the windows is of somebody elses apartment opposite. it is generally quiet. a good nights rest was had. the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen served its purpose. the staff are generally friendly, and a special mention of marion on reception. always smiling. the price has risen over the years, and did reflect good value, but i fell that the price doesn't reflect the level the hotel is at now. there is better out there for the same money, but if it is convenience you need, this is the place. i will return next year. thank you. i have also copied it in french, and hope it translates as it should. Je séjourne ici depuis 10 ans, deux fois par an pour des raisons professionnelles. l'hôtel est généralement propre et confortable. après avoir séjourné dans la chambre 115 cette fois-ci, j'ai été déçu de voir les portes de la douche disparues. en signalant cela, on m'a dit qu'ils étaient tombés et n'avaient pas été remplacés. cela rendait la douche très difficile. la vue par les fenêtres est celle de l'appartement de quelqu'un d'autre en face. c'est généralement calme. une bonne nuit de repos a été passée. les lits étaient confortables et la cuisine remplissait sa fonction. le personnel est globalement sympathique, et une mention spéciale de marion à la réception. toujours souriant. le prix a augmenté au fil des ans et reflète un bon rapport qualité-prix, mais j'ai pensé que le prix ne reflète pas le niveau actuel de l'hôtel. il y a mieux pour le même prix, mais si vous avez besoin de commodité, c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut. je reviendrai l'année prochaine. merci.
