Les Roches Rouges, Saint Raphael, a Beaumier hotel

Stayed at Les Roches Rouges at the end of the Summer 2022. Very conveniently located a quick drive from the nearest town, where you can find restaurants, pharmacies, stores and so on. The Hotel was beautiful! Its minimalistic design lets you enjoy the full sight/breeze/sounds of the Mediterranean without distractions. The Infinity pool connects with the Sea right next to it, providing an additional layer of comfort with their prompt towel/food and beverage service. The room was very comfortable and had a nice balcony with a vast view of the Sea. We visited the Spa at the Hotel and experienced a heavenly treatment. It was hard to leave once it was over hahaha We had dinner reservations at the Hotel one night and we were running late on our drive back, we called and told them and they were kind enough to wait for us to come back to order and then closed the kitchen afterwards. Our stay was brief and i wish we had stayed at Les Roches Rouges longer. Hopefully we will go back in the near future and enjoy everything the Hotel has to offer.

From start to finish (& I’m not finished yet!) this has been a wonderful, relaxing experience. The hotel is 1st class but what makes it is the staff… too many to mention all but Simon, Thomas & Amber were all superb. Location, location.. sitting right above the sea with a fresh water & sea water pool the views are amazing. Rooms are good & prefer one with a balcony overlooking the sea. Frequent recommendations of places to visit, drives to take and bistros to visit. The hotel has two restaurants; Recif - Michelin & superb & the Beach restaurant- excellent range of dishes. Don’t miss the spa - not used much and treatments among best in world. Also, outdoor gym - basic, functional & works plus outdoor yoga/Pilates. We will be back because it is simply sooooo good & thank you to everyone for looking after us!

Wow, First, one of the great locations. You feel that you are on a boat looking down at the sea. Second the natural sea water pool is fantastic. Third the service and food were great. We truly hope to be able to come back. Although for sure the hotel is "Haute" riviera it is understated and you won't see many folks showing off their brands.

The Hotel cannot have 5 stars: room are too small, the shower was a cement-tube IN the room and the water was going around at each shower. The day restaurant had a ridiculously small menu. We asked for Tomato Penne, and we asked them “ al dente “ and my husband requested an abundant portion. We had been informed that we had to pay a supplement of Eur 12. We were surprised ( it was not truffle..,just tomato pasta ) but we accepted. We had back a dish with the most overcooked pasta , completly broken, we had in our life. They left the same quantity of souces than the regular portion so…the past was almost white instead of red and it had the consistency of mashed potatoes : at the end the pasta was offered because to be honest it was inedible. One day we arrived at breakfast at 9.20 : crepes were finished on the buffet. We asked for them and the answer was…come back tomorrow. The day after , at 8.30 there were not crepes and pancake: probably the food budget were finished! These kind of things normally happen at a 2 star hotel. We left almost 50 Eur at day in tips because people were really very kind even if not always skilled for their job in some case. We spend 8 nights in this hotel and we did a huge mistake. It is ok for a week end not for an holidays. The location was great but even the Hotel’s name was misleading: the hotel Les Roches Rouges is AFTER the red rocks! With a different food offer, different shower arrangement, it can become a nice 4 stars boutique hotel. Currently, is waste of money and …by the way…no Tv in the room …to replicate the 60ies atmosphere…mmmmhh

A privilege to be here - from the minute you arrive and the valet takes your car you can feel yourself relax. Rooms are fantastic, the pools by the sea are a dream and the breakfast is exceptional. I did not try the Michelin starred restaurant, but I did try La Plage for dinner. It was OK, but then again the food offering in the area aren't incredible. Some suggestions: La Plage menu could improve and be a bit more varied, and the gold at the bar could be a bit more snacks - sometimes you just want a normal sandwich and some fries by the pool!

This hotel is 5* in terms of view and sea access, not in terms of service. However, this is reflected in the price which is a lot less than what it would be if this was a true 5*. Hence it’s a fair deal. The one reason I did not give 5/5 is that the dinner in the La Plage restaurant was really disappointing quality. Service at breakfast was also patchy, though the croissants, pain au chocolat and tarte tropezienne were the best we had in a week on the Côte d’Azur. The hotel clearly is cost-conscious in terms of staffing, both in numbers and quality. Which means you’ll be disappointed if you expect 5* service at the pool or at breakfast. But if you come mainly for the view and sea access and don’t mind fairly basic rooms (no privacy in the bathroom as no door, though there is a separate toilet) then you’ll love it.
