The Hotel Zamora

Amazing location. Right on the waterway and has a rooftop that overlooks both the ocean and waterway. Easy access to Pass-A-Grille and cute neighborhoods. Has AMAZING a/c and doesn't smell like some Florida hotels. Feels really fresh. Plus the furniture and the finishes look brand new and beautiful.

This was one of the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever had in a business, EVER. The valet/parking attendant was verbally abusive and very clearly on some kind of power trip where he thinks it is ok to berate and yell at guests. After everything this beach has been through this year, you would think that people would be more friendly and inviting instead of treating you like an inconvenience when you show up at their property. I will never provide a single dollar to this business again because when I tried to take the issue to management’s attention, I was hung up on three separate times. Trust me when I say this hotel is not worth the aggravation you will endure from its employees.

So we arrived and the front desk agent sent us up to the 3rd floor with the wrong key. When I told her the key didn't work she said it was b/c it she sent me to the wrong room and then made us wait forever for a new room and set of keys. When I asked the front desk agent how late the pool was option she responded: "7 or 9pm...whenever we decide". All of the furniture in the room is in a state of disrepair. The alarm clock was not even plugged in or set to a time. The shampoo and lotion were empty. The pool was disgusting. There were used band aids all over the pool deck and drunken people that were not even hotel guests were in the pool area. there were no towels and mold everywhere. When the cleaning crew came to the room they only made ONE bed. Nothing else was cleaned. When we went to get our car, the valet was asleep :/ The elevators had water all over the floors. I emailed three different departments about my experience. No one cared enough to respond. RUN....don't walk ...away.

My husband booked a King with balcony water view back in August, it was a surprise weekend getaway for my birthday. He called to see if they sustained damage from Milton and if they're open several days before our planned trip. He was told yes they are open and no serious damage and their pool would be open that weekend. We checked in on Friday 10-25-24 and upon check in the lobby was still being put back together she told us the pool is closed but some of the beach is open and that several people were coming to their hotel from Don Cesar. We were given our room 208A and when we went inside my husband knew that it wasn't the room he booked as we were looking at the street along with the pods being used to fix up the place. We both went to inform her of this showed her his confirmation from August, we were told they are fully booked and would see if someone would change their room and speak with the manager. She came back and stated she can't change the room but would waive the resort fee, or we could leave and get refunded, Really?! We left got a full refund as it wasn't the room he paid for. The manager didn't even call us, no reason given as to why our room was given away either. Needless to say we're not happy how this whole situation was handled and was mislead as we would have cancelled ahead of time knowing that they did sustain damage and the pool wasn't even ready when he was told it would be.

We got married on the rooftop in October of 2023. My Husband and I had the pleasure of working with Carly, the Sales Manager, who helped coordinate on the hotel end. Carly was very helpful, attentive and maintained a positive and energetic attitude throughout the planning process! She was really great to work with. The hotel could use some updating in terms of the rooms but overall, the hotel was a nice place to stay. The staff were friendly. The lobby bar is a great place to hang out and grab a drink. As for the wedding, our guests raved about the cold seafood bar at the cocktail hour! Overall, we were very happy with the location for our wedding. You cannot beat the views of the sunset and the moon rising on the rooftop. Cannot wait to be back for a sunset :)

We were there to celebrate our daughter’s engagement. Contacted the hotel weeks prior to make arrangements. My first contact was with the front desk, answered by a man who was not helpful at all. I finally found a name of someone to email, and Rebecca…then later Jenn, were extremely helpful! We arrived too early on Friday to check in and left our number after being told we would be called when our room was ready. Four hours later we came back and were told our room had been ready for 2 hours. Kiel is the person who promised us a call and left for the day without letting anyone know. Enjoyed dinner there that night with Dave as our waiter…amazing server! Met Kaitlyn at the rooftop bar later and also amazing customer service. Also, every single valet we came in contact with was just awesome!!! Our problem was with Kiel…the hotel is under construction and on arrival we approached a make shift checking desk. He was almost unwelcoming, not very helpful, and when asked to email us a receipt of our stay by note (he wasn’t at desk when we left) and with a call later that day, we never received it. We later tried several ways to reach the general manager, and when we called were asked “why we needed to talk to her” and given the third degree. Never heard from her. This hotel, when completed, will be quite lovely…but until something is done about the staff who your guests will come in to contact with initially entering, it will never be the boutique hotel that customers expect. We travel often and leave a lot of reviews…I’ve never left one like this. There’s a saying, “one bad apple spoils the whole bunch”. Welp..there’s a rotten apple on this staff. Because the whole bunch is really great!
