Charming guest house with a warm welcome from the owner , who will speak in English if needed . The furnishings and decor are shabby chic but cosy and clean . Short walk into town centre where you can find cafes and restaurants . Can definitely recommend

A great bed and breakfast for a stopover on a trip or to explore the surrounding region. So much nicer and cheaper than a standard hotel and from my room at the front of the building I had a lovely view over the canal. Parking is free on the other side of the road along the quay to the canal but I opted to pay 10 euros to use the owners locked garage, which saved me from having to empty valuables out of the car. The garage only has space for one car so be sure to book this ahead of time if you want to secure it for your trip. Breakfast was amazing with croissants, bread, jams, meats and cheese and set in a lovely morning room overlooking the garden. Some traffic noise from the road in front of the hotel which meant the windows need to be kept closed if you are a light sleeper but I found the traffic died down later on and so the windows could be opened without any issues. Beaucoup plus agréable et moins cher qu'un hôtel standard et depuis ma chambre située à l'avant du bâtiment, j'avais une belle vue sur le canal. Le stationnement est gratuit de l'autre côté de la route le long du quai du canal mais j'ai choisi de payer 10 euros pour utiliser le garage fermé du propriétaire, ce qui m'a évité d'avoir à vider des objets de valeur de la voiture. Le garage ne peut accueillir qu'une seule voiture, alors assurez-vous de le réserver à l'avance si vous souhaitez le sécuriser pour votre voyage. Le petit déjeuner était incroyable avec des croissants, du pain, des confitures, de la viande et du fromage et servi dans une jolie salle du matin donnant sur le jardin. Certains bruits de circulation provenant de la route en face de l'hôtel signifiaient que les fenêtres devaient rester fermées si vous avez le sommeil léger, mais j'ai constaté que la circulation s'est calmée plus tard et que les fenêtres pouvaient donc être ouvertes sans aucun problème. Hautement recommandé.
