Margate

We often come here and was looking forward to seeing the revamp . The Self Check-In is in the new bar area and if it doesn’t work you have to wait at the bar to check in between the tables , chairs and guests with your cases and family , so avoid arriving at meal times and evenings when the bar is busy. The new re vamp has made it look really lovely but it is no longer wheelchair or child friendly. There is very little space for wheelchair users to independently move around the restaurant nor get anything themselves for breakfast , as everything is so high up ! The old restaurant catered for everyone and sadly the new one doesn’t. The forks bend as you use them, the food quality was budget and took far too long to arrive at the table and then needed to be sent back as the eggs were like rubber. The drinks at the bar are astronomical ! 330ml of zero Coca Cola ( a can size ) over £3.00 ! Rooms are still the same but wasn’t pleased that for the whole of our stay the dirty laundry was left right by the lifts all day and night . Check-In awful and it’s far better to walk down the road to restaurants and bars that are more affordable and child and disabled friendly.

Location is good. Other than that it wasn’t great. Room needs refurb, the whole place just felt a bit run down. The new bar / restaurant is like sitting in ikea. Nowhere relaxing to chill with a drink. Staff all looked unhappy and a couple of them were not very friendly, just liked barking rules. Breakfast was lacking some of the usual items. No OJ or apple juice. Coffee machine only served espresso or americano. They run out of certain items which meant a wait. Just not very well organised. I’ve been to many premier inns, this was the worst unfortunately.

the staff were very helpful and polite. The restaurant area was bright and clean. Newly refurbished. Breakfast very low on fruit, dry stale bread but toasted ok. Continental not refilled enough. Bedroom absolutely disgusting. When we opened the door to our room the smell hit us, damp stale smell very strong. We bought air fresheners but made no difference. Curtains hanging off the poles, couldn't drawer them properly. Air conditioning not working, no windows to open instead. Hair dryer did not work, but I bought my own with me just in case. Found socks and underwear in the drawers from the last customer staying in this room. Disgusting not the sort of thing you wish to find in your room when you arrive 408 was the worst room I have ever stayed in with Premier Inn.

Amazing bed, lovely room only downside the window didn't open for ventilation so room was stuffy and air con was too cold to leave on, lovely staff on arrival, didn't eat there as cheaper to eat elsewhere, great nights sleep, quiet room with no disturbance

Woken up in the middle of the night after the fire alarm went off. Couldn’t sleep again especially after the drunk people stayed outside our window making noise the rest of the night. One bath towel for 2 people was unacceptable. Good location, refurbishment looks promising but a lot of work to be done to increase guest satisfaction.

great location in Margate with easy access to the Margate train station. The hotels is undergoing some modernisation or changes, but would stay again. We also purchased the breakfast on the day and would highlight recommend, before walking into Margate town
