Ho trascorso un soggiorno molto piacevole. Ho prenotato due camere comfort ma l’hotel mi ha assegnato un upgrade dandomi due camere prestige lato vigneti. Le camere sono ampie, silenziosissime. I letti sono comodissimi. La pulizia delle camere e degli ambienti comuni e’ molto curata. La piscina esterna e’ molto bella e pulita. La spa e’ piccola ma carina. Ampio parcheggio disponibile con servizio gratuito di ricarica auto. Il ristorante non mi ha entusiasmato. C’era un maitre scortese, l’ho quindi utizzato solo la prima sera e poi ho cenato fuori. L’unico “neo” di questo hotel e’ che, se come nel nostro caso hai un figlio grandino, devi prenotare due camere doppie e pertanto il prezzo del soggiorno diventa molto importante.

Ha un fascino particolare, questo alberogo sperduto, affacciato sull'oceano e lontano un po' da tutto. La mia camera era vista mare, abbastanza grande, con wc in uno stanzino separato rispetto al bagno, di dimensioni corrette. Cura nei dettagli, letto ampio (cosa rara, in Francia) e molto confortevole, wifi mediocre in una zona dove la copertura è quasi inesistente. Accoglienza impeccabile, disponibilità di una spa (che non ho provato) in apparenza di ottimo livello. Colazione gradevole e abbondante in un locale dalle vetrate panoramiche. Prezzo impegnativo (circa 300 euro a notte a fine giugno per la camera vista mare a pian terreno), ma l'hotel è di valore.

Magical setting in Île de Re - spectacular scenery and easy access to beach, walks, and bikes. The services of the hotel are promising but the delivery very choppy. This includes the restaurants and spa..Hopefully this will improve with training and more emphasis on a culture of hospitality.

Simply the worst experience. I have been fortunate to have visited some amazing countries and stayed in some lovely hotels. My family and I are were looking forward to our road trip around France, especially a visit to Ile de Re. + Postives: -The island is welcoming. -Great sites and nice beaches - though the weather during our stay wasn't great. -Some amazing restaurants - lots of choice but you should always book in advance. -Negatives: -The hotel was badly run. We were charged £1300 for a 2 night room only stay in error! booked through ***********. When I flagged this to ***********, I was told that I would be refunded within 15 days...but I'm still waiting -I booked a trea**ent and after waiting an hour was told that no one had noticed me waiting and that the spa was now closed. My 20 min trea**ent at a cost of £75 was apparently not worth the spa area noticing me, asking what trea**ent though when I arrived there were only 2 people (including me) in reception! Ile de Re is lovely and I would definitely recommend a visit, but just not staying at this hotel. I understand that is family owned and run, which is great. But the administration is very poor and the cost incredibly high. On this occasion you just don't receive the service you think you are paying for.

Brilliant hotel, lovely location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice views of the sea and the pool and spa were very nice. Would have liked larger towels for the spa and they didn’t cover the sun loungers

The hotel is in a beautiful quiet location surround by vineyards on one side and sea sand dunes and oyster beds on the other. Laid back with no buildings or road between the hotel and sea. Lovely walk of about 45 mins to a delightful quiet mostly sandy beach. Great view from 1st floor rooms. It was very very hot for the 8 days of our stay. The hotel in general and room was very clean. Unfortunately the air conditioner was set centrally at 26c on the first night so very little sleep, the manager did get it fixed for the next night, so we had control for the rest of our stay and it was then very efficient and surprisingly quiet. Toiletries were sp****: shower gel, shampoo and toilet roll. No such thing as a double bed, two singles pushed together. Mind the gap as not even a topper available. Dinner on the set menu was not up to standard, no attention given to presentation either, very expensive canteen food! However there are many great restaurants in St Martin de Re (15 min drive) so we ate out there for the rest of our stay. Buffet breakfast was ok but the same everyday and no opportunity to have eggs cooked for you ie omelette poached eggs. Just scrambled and cook your own boiled. The restaurant and bar staff were friendly and attentive. Reception staff, bar one with an attitude, were also very pleasant. All in all location is perfect but expect more of a 3 plus not 4 star experience.

It is not a four stat hotel, more a three plus. Rooms on sea side are small with minimal storage.. Bathroom also very small with no shelves and hooks. The Thelassotherapy facilities are 0.5 km from the hotel. A tunnel connects the two. Most of the staff are excellent. Breakfasts are good with plenty of choices, just no smoked salmon or oysters. The demi-pension dinners are appallingly poor, 35€ for two courses of very poor food, very little choice - two of each; the alternative is to pay supplements for everything on the a la carte menu. We are now at a 4 star hotel furher up the coast which is on a different planet for faciities and food. Would we stay at the Atalante again? Not a chance!
