We were delighted to discover this amazing hotel and enjoy its intriguing renaissance. We were disappointed however to find that there were no modest options on the menu - nor any house pichet of wine! - transforming what would have been a very reasonable bill into an extremely expensive outlay. We will not be able to afford a return visit under the present regime.

Beautifully preserved and renovated hotel dating from about 1560, and simply oozing with character. No aircon (unsurprising given the age of the property and probably not possible to retrofit) so it was very hot in our room, but a good fan was provided, so we managed. Excellent restaurant with a good wine list and very good service.

Pour mon anniversaire, en amoureux avec mon mari, c'était très bien ! Très beau cadre cette Auberge. Chambre confortable et fonctionnelle, buffet du petit déjeuner complet et varié et la serveuse très sympathique, souriante et disponible. Parfait !

Peut être bon en début de service mais à fuite en a partir de 20h30 Accueil froid On nous amène les cartes sans nous informer de ce qu'il n'y a plus ( la plupart des composants du menu) La viande traîne cuite sur les assiettes pendant 10 minutes avec qu'elle soit amené, donc froide, nerveuse Vous êtes 5 vous avez le droit à 2 carottes, 4 chois de Bruxelles, 2 cuillères à soupe de choux rouge et un navet. Froid évidemment Un plat à 26 euros est servi avec une portion de frite et une poignée de salade en Sachet baignant dans l'huile La tension entre les serveurs n 'est pas palpable mais totalement vivable Nous n'avons pas risqué les desserts, déjà trop de frais engagés pour cette médiocre qualité

Das Hotel ist ein altes, sehr gut renoviertes Gebäude. Im Zimmer und Hotel kommt Mittelalterfeeling auf. Die Lage ist recht zentral, im gegenüber liegendem Parkhaus gibt es Parkmöglichkeiten zu akzeptablen Preisen. Sehr gut, da Parken sonst ein echtes Problem ist. Das Frühstück ist sein Geld wert, der Service freundlich und gut. Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt.

Nous y sommes allés en couple, fin juillet, il faisait doux, nous avons réservé une table en terrasse, agréable, malgré une guêpe qui tournoyait, mais s'est vite fatiguée, à notre grand soulagement, l'accueil souriant et agréable, le cadre est emprunt d'histoire, une armure à une fenêtre, nous indique son passé, et cela mérite le respect. Nous avons pris un apéritif pour commencer, servi avec des pâtés maison, en entrée des escargots, en plat j'ai pris des linguinis aux gambas, un régal, et en dessert un thé gourmand, nous avons apprécié le service et les mets, le seul bémol, les chaises pas très confortables, des fauteuils seraient plus appropriés, la note est salée, mais nous préférons la qualité à la quantité. Si vous êtes de passage, dans notre région, vous pouvez vous y arrêter et savourer ces mets divins.

Hôtel propre, Literie confortable Chambre spacieuse Très bien placé en plein centre de Valenciennes avec plusieurs restaurants tout autour Accueil très agréable et souriant le matin ce qui n’est pas le cas de l’accueil du soir. Les chambres sont non climatisé et font vraiment vieillottes, elles mériteraient une bonne rénovation. Une petite bouteille d’eau est toujours appréciable ainsi qu’un bureau et une chaise pour pouvoir y travailler
