We were treated to a cream afternoon tea. It was beautiful presented and delivered by Hepy who was polite, friendly and able to explain all the cakes to us. We had an Easter themed plate of cakes and they were all delicious. The scones were light and warm. The setting was clean, bright and spacious. It was a lovely treat. We will definitely be visiting again very soon.

Stayed here three nights and were very disappointed with the room. The toilet is separate from the bathroom and is tiny. We had to back in as there is no room to turn around. The shower room was nearly as bad and so small we had to dry ourselves in the room. At £206 per night this was very poor value. However the dining room was good and the staff excellent.

Absolutely fabulous hotel! It was beautifully decked out with tasteful Christmas decorations, gorgeous Christmas trees and festive wreaths and fabulous illuminated figures in the welcoming foyer. As for the staff…….. Roberto, manager, was one of the best as were his reception staff, Ellie and Lara. So helpful and cheerful. Don’t ask what could be improved because it was the BEST!

Came for a celebratory afternoon tea. Hepy was our host and couldn’t have been more welcoming. So friendly and charming, she was very attentive without being over present. She enquired if we were celebrating anything special, and after telling her it was a graduation celebration, a beautifully decorated celebratory plate was bought out with a chocolate brownie on. The food was amazing - lovely sandwiches, cakes and scones, presented beautifully with bottomless cups of tea or coffee. The room where the afternoon teas was served was bright and airy and had lovely views over the grounds. Overall a 5 star experience.

Fantastic service, beautiful location, and delicious afternoon tea. Nothing was too much trouble for our wonderful waiter Mohammed. He was attentive, speedy and very polite. He brought us a few different teas and coffees, extra cream and jam for our scones, and swapped out a sandwich I didnt like for an alternative, all with no fuss.

My family and I had a wonderful lunch booked by the amazing Christina. The food was excellent with 10/10 service by Hepy! Would definitely come back for lunch again and to try the afternoon tea. The outdoor area on a lovely day is perfect for a drink while enjoying the view of the greenery around!

St Michels Manor is charming and has a great deal of character. We stayed here on our trip to Warner Brothers Studio - just 20min away. Our room was decent size with an on-suite bath. Though the floor creaked a great deal as we walked around, there's only reception and the restaurant below, so we did not worry. We could hear every person that passed by our roon; however, in a historical building that is expected. There was no noise during our stay after 21:00. Great sleeping. The patio was beautiful and very relaxing. There is a splendid view out to the river. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was fabulous!! Mohammad was superb and paid attention to every detail serving us. The pea and wild garlic soup was delicious, as was the strawberry pavlova we shared for dessert!! All in all a wonderful place to relax, dine, and stay!

The food was brilliant and tasty, the service was top notch, Muhammad was a great server and attended our needs. I would recommend anyone to come here with family or friends or even a romantic dinner. The view from the restaurant is also lovely.

What a fabulous place to stay ! A wonderful location, right in the middle of the beautiful old part of St Albans. Gorgeous gardens and , so pretty at this time of year. Plenty of parking . A lovely warm welcome from the reception team and we were blown away when we saw our four poster room . Our dinner was delicious, especially the beef which melted in the mouth. Lovely service in the elegant dining room. We had a great nights sleep. The breakfast buffet was amazing as was the cooked breakfast. We really enjoyed our special stay at St Michaels Manor, highly recommended.
