Hotel Mariant

Bit wary of coming here after reading reviews....however: Lovely clean hotel, room not cleaned two days a week but to be honest who cleans their room at home every day? Cleaners do a lovely job. Buffet was smaller than a lot I've been to but always enough choice especially if you like pasta and fish dishes, Very tasty. Be careful though as dishes are not always labelled correctly! Lovely seating area both inside and out. Staff are brilliant and clear away and wipe tables quickly. If u r all inclusive you can request a packed lunch for the next day at reception before 7pm the eve before. U then collect at breakfast in morning. Lovely sandwiches, fruit and water included. Room basic but has tv, hairdryer, shower over bath. Towells, toilet rolls and soap and shower wash provided. Brought own small kettle as not included although can be hired. No fridge, but wasn't needed for us. Walls are a bit thin but bearable, guess it depends on who is next to you and how loud they are! Beds and sofa very comfortable and fresh and clean. Unfortunately I spilled coffee on my bed but it was quickly replaced with fresh bedding and remade. Veranda lovely with clothes airer available and 2 chairs and table provided. Pool area small and not many sunbeds but loads of other seating available. Pool is lovely and clean and fresh, for peak season we didn't struggle for room in the pool. Lovely beaches close by, dont bother hiring a sunbed. Lilos and Umbrellas are really cheap so save a lot even if you dont take them home with you. Sea is lovely and clear. Evening entertainment only 2 to 3 times a week and honestly would not recommend. If u r into eve entertainment you need to go out of the hotel. Lots of other places you can go within walking distance. Restaurant times: Breakfast 8am to 10am. Lunch 12.30 to 2.30pm. Dinner 18.30 to 20.30pm. Snacks and ice cream available during the afternoon. If all inclusive u can help yourself to soft drinks and tea/coffee etc all day and evening. All the information u need is supplied on arrival and signs around hotel. We had a lovely stay, for the 3 stars I would happily recommend.

We had all inclusive, the hotel service is fine, food is ok, but we asked for picnic bags which was allowed to ask until 7pm. We asked it 7.08 pm and they said no picnic bags because of that 8 minutes late....I think its up to people to do a favour ..so this was not nice at all....because we paid all inclusive.

Well, what can I say! On arrival there were four members of staff behind the reception desk & yet it took approximately 5-10 minutes for them to greet us & get checked in. A lady was at the reception when we arrived telling the staff she wanted to move rooms! This was our red flag! We were shown to our room which was 50 yards away from the main hotel (in what was called the annex) the room was dirty, hair on the toilet, dirt, dust & hair on the floor & in the corners of the room. Skirting board coming away from the wall. Dirty curtains & a small piece of pasta also stuck to the curtain, the pasta remained there for the duration of our stay even though we complained about the cleanliness to our rep & to reception. As for the food it was inedible, cold, lukewarm at best unless you had something from the hot plate. Staff handling raw & cooked food with the same tongs. High risk food such as chicken, rice & fish all under temperature & Bain Marie not appearing to work correctly hence food not holding temperature. At breakfast a kitchen team member bought out a tray of scrambled egg wearing blue plastic gloves but not using any towels / oven gloves, my husband tried it straight away & it was cold. We ended up using the restaurant on a couple of occasions for salads, fruit & the occasional food from the hot plate, we had no confidence in their working practices. On our last day here was a vegetable paella but clearly had meat in it, wrong on a lot of levels. The plates & cutlery had remnants of food on them. Outside pool area was adequate but lacked atmosphere, very quiet, dull music, no activities or games. Pool side snacks appeared to be left over cakes / pastries from lunchtime. Everything shut by 10:30pm & no-one had access to water or coffee / tea until 8:30am the next day. If you wanted tea / coffee facilities in your room this will cost you extra & you will need to buy your own coffee etc. For an all inclusive holiday it was unacceptable on all levels. This is quite frankly the most disgusting place I’ve stayed at. The area itself is beautiful (S’Illot & Sa Coma) Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!!

STAY AWAY from this hotel I never leave bad reviews but this hotel is awful my daughter and her boyfriend stayed there end of June and 3 days into they’re holiday I was flying out on a last minute flight worried to death that my daughter was missing they had been spiked and robbed just outside the hotel where there’s no cameras the staff are very dodgy and in my opinion involved with what’s going on as a different member of staff told me this is not the first time it has happened the bar staff gave them drinks the next minute they didn’t know what was going on and being robbed the hotel room doors don’t lock the balconies are unsafe the rooms are dirty and the food is disgusting I am so glad o got in to a different hotel and I moved them to my hotel for safety I would say this hotel is a 1 star and do not stay there if you are a young couple with no family around you

Only spent a week at The Mariant .The staff were mainly helpful and friendly. Not many British at this hotel . Meal times hectic and noisy not a very relaxing experience. Plates were dirty so you would have to search for a clean one. Rooms were very clean and we had a lovely big terrace. Air con not very good but it might be lowered down because of the time of the season even though it was roasting . Lifts were very reliable. I imagine it would get far too busy at the height of the season around the pool area. The hotel is situated in a good part of the resort , a choice of 2 beaches and you can explore further a field to the rugged coastline. Bar closed early about 10.30 so we would go to the lively bar around the corner. Over all I enjoyed my stay at The Mariant but a week was long enough.
