Leamington Spa: hotel con bar

Nine of us stayed here for our annual golf weekend. Just what we needed clean and fresh rooms close to the centre with reasonable parking. The freshly cooked breakfast was one of my highlights. Very good and great quality. The rooms are all individual probably on the smaller side but for our purposes just fine. The on-site team were all very helpful and overall we had a good stay. It was close to a decent pub the cricketers which made up for the hotel not having evening dining facilities. Many thanks

My family and I recently stayed at the wonderful Woodland Grange Hotel. We read lots of great reviews so decided to give it a try. Thankfully they are now a dog friendly hotel (yayyy!!!). We booked 2 of their king rooms and both rooms were really lovely, super roomy and spotlessly clean (including the bathrooms) with super comfortable beds. On arrival, in my room, there was a gorgeous “Doggy welcome gift box” with blanket, poo bag dispenser (with poo bags), tennis ball and travel water bowl (so cute!). Our dog LOVES presents and wasted no time in ravaging through it all. He snuggled in the blanket and made himself at home within minutes! ALL the staff were so lovely and made such a fuss of him (and us)… It was so sweet. A super helpful lady called Annie personally walked us down to their massive field behind the hotel where our dog was immediately in heaven playing. Having our fur baby with us, it was so convenient to have that fabulous field literally on our doorstep! They also have a gorgeous front garden area too (beautifully lit up at night), with gazebo, outdoor sofas, etc… It looked so stunning! They have a huge restaurant (which, understandably, don’t allow dogs, when really busy) but they have a lovely alternative dining area (which allow dogs) in the bar areas… and they have 2 x different DELICIOUS menus to choose from. Due to family commitments, we were only there for 1 night, so we had breakfast and supper there but the food (at both meals) was absolutely AMAZING and the choices were so great. I noticed on the reception desk, they had won a hospitality award for their food & drinks and we all agreed, it was very well deserved. They even brought a water bowl and treats to our dog when we were having dinner in the bar area (so thoughtful!). Woodland Grange is so conveniently located, as it’s away from the hustle bustle, yet is only a 6min drive to Leamington Spa town centre. What an AMAZING hotel with such special staff… and we can’t wait to stay there again. All the staff were so friendly and so accommodating throughout our whole stay! A special and huge thanks to Oliver, Annie, Lili, Melanie, Katie and all the staff there, for giving us such a wonderful and welcoming stay!!! We have recommended to all and can’t wait to come back again!!!

The car park is free of charge to guests staying or attending functions at the hotel.

Stained floors. Ripped curtains. Destroyed furniture. Uncomfortable spring mattress. Exposed wires next to broken shower door. Photos for evidence. The staff are absolutely lovely, but it’s the amenities that are the issue and the responsibility of the owner. Bar directly below plays loud music until late on Friday and Saturday. Drunks yelling loudly outside every night of the week. The regular alcoholics are at the bar everyday and you have to walk right past them and the smokers outside in order to go up to your room, feels incredibly unsafe. Twin room has paper thin walls, can hear every word from the next room. Cannot understate how irritating this was. I was able to clearly hear a couple ‘be romantic’ one night and then have an argument and break up the next night at 2am. You get what you pay for. Most positive reviewers stayed one or two nights over a partying weekend. I was moving to the UK and needed a cheap place to stay for two weeks, and over that time got a full picture of the place. You’ve been warned, if you don’t believe me then find out for yourself. Rated the worst place in Leamington for a reason.
