Hotel in zona Villapolku Playground, Rovaniemi

We booked this penthouse to have a nice weekend and enjoy beautiful view from the balcony. We carefully selected a very nice stay among all possible stays in Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland region reading all reviews and making a long research for a high-quality leisure stay. Instead we were forced to listen to around 9 hours of very loud unbearable rock through the whole evening. From 15:30-01 :00 90DB noise for 9 hours (harmful for health) 90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the noise generated by a leaf blower or the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection. One could hear music even in the sauna. After two hours of nonstop noise and starting headache I contacted the host about full refund I got an answer that there is a festival just outside the building. Here is what I got as a reply: ”Is the music coming from outside? There is Santa open air music festival in the park by the riverside going thru the weekend.” Since host did not solve the problem I had to call to San Francisco USA airbnb support to solve the problem. Next reply from host was not apology and problem solving too. It was: ”This is a public outdoor event which have been promoted by the city of Rovaniemi. So it’s a well-known event, which attracts a lot of attention and visitors. We don’t ask our guests why they come to Rovaniemi. I can assume that many of our other guests come specifically because of this festival.” ”You cannot expect us to repost information about all public events in Rovaniemi.” I would not have booked this stay if I would have known that there is a very loud music in the whole apartment all night long non-stop. I do not know if anyone would. Since the attitude towards guest is so ignoring - I do not recommend this host. After getting in touch with Airbnb support I had a message from the host where the host offered second night instead of 82% refund (we would simply go home from that airbnb, the apartment was untouched yet). I accepted the night just to stop stressing. After listening to many hours of loud terrible noise I had a bad head-ache and a bad sleep. I would love to go home and regret making a booking. *it took us 1 hour to find parking outside before we checked-in. We parked on the river shore. Cleanlyness big minus: around toilet all walls in urine, dust on window floors and corners (non-professional cleaning) Hospitality non-professional. Host is interested in getting money, not in providing a nice and responsible service.

The only area of improvement would be the condition of the communal garbage bin in the yard. It was the only drawback, as it appeared to be in a rather untidy state. However, this minor issue did not detract significantly from the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Forenom Serviced Apartments in Rovaniemi offers exceptional value for money. Buon hotel con ottima posizione centrale in Rovaniemi Accoglienza gentile alla reception: apprezzato il voucher per il ristorante e i drink di benvenuto al bar. Avevamo preso una stanza standard quindi non ci aspettavamo il top, infatti era piuttosto funzionale l'unica cosa si allagava un po il bagno facendo la doccia. Sauna carina, in legno, attrezzata e divisa per sesso (non scontato) Atmosfera gradevole sicuramente in inverno esprime il suo meglio. Staff molto gentile e amichevole. Complessivamente consigliato!!

Pro: - Posizione strategica: Rovaniemi è una piccola cittadina e l’hotel si trova a 2 passi dal centro. Inoltre, di fronte è possibile trovare un supermercato H24 per qualsiasi necessità. L’hotel mette a disposizione gratuitamente degli slittini per portare in giro i bimbi. - Colazione eccezionale: è possibile trovare qualsiasi cosa, dal dolce al salato, di ottima qualità; dai pancake alle brioches, salmone affumicato, uova e bacon, frutti rossi e succhi, ecc…insomma, non manca nulla! - Ristorante: nell’hotel è presente un ristorante - a pagamento - chiamato MonteRosa. Assolutamente eccezionale, prezzi nella media (quindi abbastanza alti) ma qualità del cibo ottima. Per noi è il migliore della zona. Contro: - Camere: le camere sono molto piccole e assolutamente poco funzionali; dotate di un armadio minuscolo, in cui non ci stava nemmeno la metà degli indumenti che ci siamo portati. Il bagno è microscopico e il piatto doccia non ha il silicone, motivo per cui è stato sempre necessario lavarsi alla velocità della luce per non allagare il bagno (cosa che comunque accadeva). Entrava poi dall’esterno un forte odore di cucinato (proveniente dal piano terra) che non era affatto piacevole; negli orari dei pasti si sentiva odore di carne, fritto, e qualsiasi altra cosa. Come ultima postilla, mi sento di dire che l’arredamento non è dei migliori: andare in Finlandia - nota per Babbo Natale, la natura, la neve e le renne - e soggiornare in una stanza in cui prevale il nero e le lampade sono piumate e stile kitsch…a noi non ha fatto impazzire! Ma sono gusti, questa è una considerazione estemporanea. - Pulizia: la pulizia è sicuramente da rivedere, stanze pulite poco e male; nella nostra, ad esempio, abbiamo trovato delle sopracciglia finte appiccicate ad una lampada e i pavimenti erano sempre pieni di polvere e capelli.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo ostello in centro a Rovaniemi a Novembre 2022 e ci siamo trovati tutto sommato bene. La camera (con bagno privato) era comoda e confortevole, abbastanza spaziosa per tutte le nostre valigie. Unico neo nella stanza era la mancanza di possibilità di regolare la temperatura in modo autonomo, ma è comunque un'ostello. Il personale è giovane e gentile, mi hanno aiutato a prenotare un taxi per il giorno successivo senza problemi. Anche il cibo buono, abbiamo sia usufruito della colazione sia, nel pomeriggio, del servizio bar, ed era tutto comunque buono, una buona cioccolata calda mentre fuori nevica fa sempre piacere. La posizione era la cosa più importante per noi e questo ostello è veramente centrale, a duecento, forse trecento metri dal centro cittadino, dove ci sono diversi centri commerciali e vie di negozi, quindi assolutamente promosso. I prezzi sono in linea con la zona, forse qualcosina in meno rispetto alla concorrenza ma rimane comunque un'ostello e non un hotel vero e proprio quindi ci sta.

Il posto è assolutamente bellissimo, a pochi passi dal Ounasvaara Ski Resort. La Chalet è molto buona e accogliente con una vista fantastica dalle finestre e dal balcone. Il nostro chalet privato aveva una seconda camera da letto che non abbiamo usato come mia figlia e io stesso preferivano il primo piano. La colazione era eccellente con una grande selezione, amavamo il produttore di waffle! Il personale era tutto utile e piacevole. La posizione è eccellente, non lontano dall'aeroporto, dal centro della città, e dal villaggio di Santa Claus. In generale, perfetta Chalet, sicuramente consigliere di rimanere qui, abbiamo avuto un bel tempo!

La camera è spaziosa e l'arredamento è in linea con l'atmosfera natalizia. Anche la sauna all'interno è fantastica. Devi soggiornare in questo hotel quando vieni al Villaggio di Babbo Natale. Il servizio alla reception è stato cordiale.Il salmone a colazione era delizioso il primo giorno ma molto salato il secondo. Puoi soggiornare al Villaggio di Babbo Natale due giorni in inverno, mentre in estate è sufficiente una notte, il posto non è grande. Ma dentro ci sono due Babbo Natale. I prezzi per la fotografia variano.

L'hotel non è lontano dal villaggio di Santa Claus e è facilmente accessibile a piedi (Solo 10 min). Per la prima volta soggiornare in un Igloo e sicuramente vale la pena. La camera è piccola ma pulita e ben decorata. Il colazione ha una vasta gamma di selezioni. Il personale è molto amichevole e ci ha dato un Igloo vicino alla foresta, isolata e tranquilla. Il vetro è installato con un riscaldatore che può fondere il ghiaccio quando necessario. L'unico disappunto è che non abbiamo visto la luce del Nord per il nostro soggiorno di 2 notti. Sicuramente resterà qui di nuovo se torna a Rovaniemi.

La mia recensione è un NI. Il posto (ma fate attenzione su Google maps perché una delle due localizzazioni è sbagliata) si trova a mezz'ora dal centro di Rovaniemi. E per arrivarci dal centro ci vogliono 70 euro di taxi andata e 70 euro al ritorno. Noi avevamo prenotazione per tour guidato e successivamente cena all'Ice Restaurant. A noi è capitato di cliccare sulla localizzazione sbagliata, motivo per il quale abbiamo fatto ritardo alla nostra visita guidata. Al telefono, quando ho chiamato per dire l'accaduto, mi hanno risposto che avrei perso la visita guidata ma che potevo comunque arrivare in tempo per la cena (non molto gentili). All'arrivo però vengo assistita da personale molto gentile che fa in modo di organizzare una visita guidata a tutti i costi e non farmi perdere i soldi. La visita guidata? 5 minuti di spiegazioni (banali, che avrei potuto leggere io stessa su internet) e poi la guida ci ha lasciati andandosene per farci vedere due stanze (cosa che avrei potuto fare tranquillamente da sola). Considerando che abbiamo pagato 80 euro circa per due ingressi (dal costo di 15 euro l'uno) e ” tour”, è comunque un regalo. Per quanto riguarda l'Ice Restaurant, l'idea è originale ed il ristorante bellissimo, ma in altri Ice bar-restaurant ti forniscono di tute/mantelle isolanti. Cenare in un posto di ghiaccio (per quanto ben equipaggiati) con le proprie cose e basta è una sofferenza. Non vedi l'ora che finisca ed è un peccato. Il cibo buono, la renna ottima. Prezzi delle bibite alti ma nella media per Rovaniemi. Non tornerei per i soldi spesi.
