Hotel in zona Kukkaniemi Lean-to Shelter, Rovaniemi

I cannot fault the communications beforehand (high floor request met) the cleanliness and facilities of apartment 68 for our 4 night stay were brilliant as too the location. My choosing an apartment over a hotel was for the additional comforts. As a 2 guest apartment I have suggested 2 comfortable chairs or small sofa be provided as I personally do not enjoy lounging on a bed, but neither spending 4 nights on a dining chair! Sadly our discomfort did not end there as we were cold the entire time. The heating was on max and the bathroom was warm but not the living area. Contacting customer services I was told the overall heating was based on the outside temperature ( it was -19 ) and over 24hrs later a heater arrived which was totally inadequate, kept cutting out and having been warned not to leave it on whilst we slept I did not consider it safe. As we had returned late and were departing the next day we discarded it and ended up going to bed. I have seen other reviews where this has been an issue and would of considered it a relative easy fix. The exceedingly good review I could of given has been literally left out in the cold!!

We booked this penthouse to have a nice weekend and enjoy beautiful view from the balcony. We carefully selected a very nice stay among all possible stays in Swedish Lapland and Finnish Lapland region reading all reviews and making a long research for a high-quality leisure stay. Instead we were forced to listen to around 9 hours of very loud unbearable rock through the whole evening. From 15:30-01 :00 90DB noise for 9 hours (harmful for health) 90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the noise generated by a leaf blower or the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection. One could hear music even in the sauna. After two hours of nonstop noise and starting headache I contacted the host about full refund I got an answer that there is a festival just outside the building. Here is what I got as a reply: ”Is the music coming from outside? There is Santa open air music festival in the park by the riverside going thru the weekend.” Since host did not solve the problem I had to call to San Francisco USA airbnb support to solve the problem. Next reply from host was not apology and problem solving too. It was: ”This is a public outdoor event which have been promoted by the city of Rovaniemi. So it’s a well-known event, which attracts a lot of attention and visitors. We don’t ask our guests why they come to Rovaniemi. I can assume that many of our other guests come specifically because of this festival.” ”You cannot expect us to repost information about all public events in Rovaniemi.” I would not have booked this stay if I would have known that there is a very loud music in the whole apartment all night long non-stop. I do not know if anyone would. Since the attitude towards guest is so ignoring - I do not recommend this host. After getting in touch with Airbnb support I had a message from the host where the host offered second night instead of 82% refund (we would simply go home from that airbnb, the apartment was untouched yet). I accepted the night just to stop stressing. After listening to many hours of loud terrible noise I had a bad head-ache and a bad sleep. I would love to go home and regret making a booking. *it took us 1 hour to find parking outside before we checked-in. We parked on the river shore. Cleanlyness big minus: around toilet all walls in urine, dust on window floors and corners (non-professional cleaning) Hospitality non-professional. Host is interested in getting money, not in providing a nice and responsible service.

Siamo tornati da poco da questo viaggio con un fascino unico, ci siamo affidati come sempre alla nostra agenzia di fiducia e anche questa volta scelta azzeccata, hotel nel centro città dove inizia l’area pedonale e servizi come taxi e bus a pochi metri e in più due centri commerciale quindi con almeno un po’ di vita, hotel pulito e secondo me recentemente ristrutturato con un bel servizio cordiale e buon buffet sia per cenare che colazione, lo consiglio. Buon viaggio

L’hotel si trova sulla collina della città, di conseguenza si trova a circa 10 minuti in macchina dal centro che corrispondo a circa 45 minuti a piedi. La struttura è molto moderna e avendo molte finestre si gode di un’ottima vista. Le camere sono molto belle ma piccoline (dalle foto sembrano più grandi). La colazione è ottima così come il ristorante che gode di ottima vista. Purtroppo durante il soggiorno ho avuto due problemi con la struttura. Il primo riguarda proprio l’arrivo, fatto il check-in ci era stato detto che c’era posto per la cena al ristorante ma una volta arrivati ci è stato detto di dovere aspettare un’ora che non avevano spazio quando la maggior parte dei tavoli erano vuoti. Siamo andati a chiedere in reception ma la ragazza che lavorava ha sbuffato quando le abbiamo chiesto di verificare e non ha collaborato in nessuno modo. Il secondo problema è stato il freddo in camera (il calorifero funzionava male) che è stato però risolto con una stufa portatile.

Il posto è assolutamente bellissimo, a pochi passi dal Ounasvaara Ski Resort. La Chalet è molto buona e accogliente con una vista fantastica dalle finestre e dal balcone. Il nostro chalet privato aveva una seconda camera da letto che non abbiamo usato come mia figlia e io stesso preferivano il primo piano. La colazione era eccellente con una grande selezione, amavamo il produttore di waffle! Il personale era tutto utile e piacevole. La posizione è eccellente, non lontano dall'aeroporto, dal centro della città, e dal villaggio di Santa Claus. In generale, perfetta Chalet, sicuramente consigliere di rimanere qui, abbiamo avuto un bel tempo!

Conosci la famiglia del nuovo anno in questo posto meraviglioso. Sono felice che non si siano sbagliati con la scelta. Riposi su 5 su 5. È un luogo molto bello in natura nei fiumi (o laghi) circostanti e oli di moda, ma alla città e al villaggio di Santa Claus a mano sulla macchina. Le case sono carine, calde e confortevoli, l'atmosfera è casa. L'isolamento sonoro è eccellente. C'è una sauna, e tutto è! I ospiti sono persone piacevoli e rispondenti, grazie mille! Tutto questo crea un piacevole umore e quindi contribuisce a un buon riposo! Meno, se così fosse, sono completamente inclini a notare. Ma mi lascero' ancora avere una spugna di latte. Perche' era il nuovo anno, personalmente non avevo abbastanza piatti e avrei fatto bene a aggiornarlo. Beh, in generale tutto è meraviglioso e abbiamo ottenuto meglio di quanto ci aspettavamo. Piazza di tornare! Raccomandare 100% P.S. Grazie al grande ospite Tahira per una salutata intensa alla festa del nuovo anno !!!

Perfetto soggiorno! Arrivato da sola e raccolto immediatamente all'aeroporto - è stato offerto di fermarsi a Lidl sul modo di raccogliere alcune supermercati. L'appartamento è davvero spazioso e super caldo! La sauna è grande; si pone fino a circa 85-90°C. L'appartamento è situato a circa 10 minuti di auto dal centro città o dal villaggio di Santa. Ci sono shopping a circa 3-4 minuti di auto. Se non avete noleggiato un'auto, suggerisco di usare il servizio taxi offerto dalla compagnia. La cucina ha tutto quello che avete bisogno: microonde, forno, lavastoviglie, frigorifero, congelatore. L'unica proposta che ho sarebbe di avere un paio di asciugamani, perché tra docce e saune, sarete finiti con loro molto rapidamente!

La camera è spaziosa e l'arredamento è in linea con l'atmosfera natalizia. Anche la sauna all'interno è fantastica. Devi soggiornare in questo hotel quando vieni al Villaggio di Babbo Natale. Il servizio alla reception è stato cordiale.Il salmone a colazione era delizioso il primo giorno ma molto salato il secondo. Puoi soggiornare al Villaggio di Babbo Natale due giorni in inverno, mentre in estate è sufficiente una notte, il posto non è grande. Ma dentro ci sono due Babbo Natale. I prezzi per la fotografia variano.

La mia recensione è un NI. Il posto (ma fate attenzione su Google maps perché una delle due localizzazioni è sbagliata) si trova a mezz'ora dal centro di Rovaniemi. E per arrivarci dal centro ci vogliono 70 euro di taxi andata e 70 euro al ritorno. Noi avevamo prenotazione per tour guidato e successivamente cena all'Ice Restaurant. A noi è capitato di cliccare sulla localizzazione sbagliata, motivo per il quale abbiamo fatto ritardo alla nostra visita guidata. Al telefono, quando ho chiamato per dire l'accaduto, mi hanno risposto che avrei perso la visita guidata ma che potevo comunque arrivare in tempo per la cena (non molto gentili). All'arrivo però vengo assistita da personale molto gentile che fa in modo di organizzare una visita guidata a tutti i costi e non farmi perdere i soldi. La visita guidata? 5 minuti di spiegazioni (banali, che avrei potuto leggere io stessa su internet) e poi la guida ci ha lasciati andandosene per farci vedere due stanze (cosa che avrei potuto fare tranquillamente da sola). Considerando che abbiamo pagato 80 euro circa per due ingressi (dal costo di 15 euro l'uno) e ” tour”, è comunque un regalo. Per quanto riguarda l'Ice Restaurant, l'idea è originale ed il ristorante bellissimo, ma in altri Ice bar-restaurant ti forniscono di tute/mantelle isolanti. Cenare in un posto di ghiaccio (per quanto ben equipaggiati) con le proprie cose e basta è una sofferenza. Non vedi l'ora che finisca ed è un peccato. Il cibo buono, la renna ottima. Prezzi delle bibite alti ma nella media per Rovaniemi. Non tornerei per i soldi spesi.
