Mi dispiace molto dare una recensione tanto negativa a questo hotel, ma purtroppo le immagini non rispecchiano esattamente la condizione reale della struttura. Un edificio fatiscente, sporco e privo di qualsiasi cura. È un luogo che ha enormi potenzialità, ahimè mal sfruttate. La posizione dell’hotel è però ottima per visitare la città, che è un vero gioiello. A tal proposito, forse può essere d’aiuto ad altri viaggiatori, consiglio vivamente a chiunque passi da Battambang, un tour guidato in tuk tuk con Sam Bath, un uomo incredibile, di una gentilezza rara, che per una cifra molto più che onesta ci ha immersi nella cultura cambogiana, raccontandoci ogni angolo di questa splendida città, con una passione e un amore travolgenti.

Out of all the places I have stayed in the world, this is my absolute favorite. It is absolutely stunning. I fell in love with the beautiful architecture. The rooms are magnificent. The pool area is so beautiful and relaxing. The food is divine, and the service staff are truly magnificent. There is history all around you, you can spend hours looking at the architecture and artwork on the walls. Nothing is too difficult for the staff and the location in Battambang is perfect. It is a lovely walk along the river across into the shopping precinct. It was such a sublime experience staying here.

The building is beautiful, a quaint house with a lot of timeless charm, makes you feel you’re back in the 1930s’. The staff is incredibly helpful and good-spirited and the swimming pool area is beautiful. Though it’s very conveniently located at a stone’s throw from the centre of the town, there is a very noisy area of bars next door, so prepare your earplugs if you want to go to bed early and sleep before midnight.

This was a little oasis in Battambang. Our room was beautiful and very comfortable. We had a couple meals here as well as breakfast. Everything was delicious! The pool was refreshing after a day of sightseeing. The hotel can arrange transfers and tours for you.

We had such a lovely time at this beautiful colonial villa in Battambang. The villa is stunning, the rooms were massive and luxurious, we loved the history of the building and all the quirky details. The pool was an absolute dream after a hot day touring, we spent a lot of time soaking in there and enjoying the lush green grounds. The breakfast was a set menu with choices and was so delicious (omelettes were amazing). The staff were lovely and attentive. A great start to our two weeks in Cambodia.

I spent two nights at La Villa in December, 2023, and found it utterly charming! In addition to the delightful French architecture and lots of lush greenery, there’s a lovely pool and a very pleasant dining area with bar. Breakfast (served) included an array of options (the omelets were delicious) and the dinner I ate there was awesome. The hotel did not have a 24/7 desk; I didn’t find that problematic.

We are a family of 3, (2) over 65 and 34 year old daughter. We had a spacious room with three beds, a sitting + desk area and a large bathroom. We had plenty of space and were very comfortable. We ate breakfast in the restaurant all 3 mornings and had dinner twice. The food was excellent every meal and very reasonably priced (breakfast included). I heard monks chanting one morning in the reasonable distance (enjoyable, but they did not wake me up). We stayed on Christmas weekend and there was a Christmas festival set up on the street right outside of the hotel. Our taxi was able to navigate to the hotel easily through the crowd and the noise did not keep us up. It was an easy walk and tuktuk ride to everything we wanted to see/do. The hotel offers tours you can book for reasonable prices to the main attractions in Battambang.

Well located,lovely people, clean and good facilities and wonderfully atmospheric. What more could you want ? A great base to explore the city and beyond its boundaries. I hope to be back and spend more time exploring the charm of Battambang.

Our stay at La Villa was great and we’re greeted with smiling faces as we arrived. The team was able to coordinate a GREAT tour of Battambang for us to give us a closer look at the city. Very comfy rooms with great breakfast and food as well. We would highly recommend this place to stay in Battambang
