The quintessential kiwi bach, simple and functional, set in complete privacy on our farm at The Black Barn Lake Tarawera on a stunning site high above all else.Originally individually used by hunters in the surrounded bush, The Hunting Huts is a grouping of four huts linked by a large outdoor deck. Careful refurbishments have resulted in a unique holiday home that has a special character all its own.The front huts are the living spaces; kitchen/dining and lounge, each with large stacker doors opening up onto the deck.The two rear huts are identical in configuration, each are split into a double room and a bunk room with internal access, perfect for one family per hut.The bathroom adjoins the lounge and has a shower over a bath, a toilet and a double vanity. The utility room has clothes washer, dryer and laundry tub plus a second toilet. Best described as "bachy"; simple and functional in space and layout but of course really comfortable, being fully insulated and double glazed.The stainless steel hot tub is a "fill and empty" tub to ensure clean, chemical free bathing. To use simply turn on the hot and cold taps at the tub, it takes about 45 minutes to fill. Use the tennis racquets to have a game, grab one of the kayaks and head out on the lake to explore or develop your paddling skills on one of the paddleboards on offer - all included in your stay! The Boat Shed offers easy access from Spencer Road for both cars and boats for the whole family with off-street parking. All next to one of the easiest and least crowded boat ramps in Tarawera.
