Globales Costa de la Calma

We arrived at past midnight to meet an elderly receptionist who refused to let my 7yr old stay. For almost an hour we were stuck at reception. Tired and now stressed. They then insisted on holding my daughter’s passport ( as though we would pay to stay in a hotel for four nights and run away after one night). That act alone was INSULTING!. First thing in the morning they kept calling to ask for an extra €48 to let my kid stay. Please note that on the trip.com site it says kids under 12 stay for free and the room was large enough for two adults and a child. There was a sofa bed. Clearly this €48 was more important to them than courtesy. There were better ways to handle this. The money was paid by me. I was very very displeased.

На территории отеля два бассейна -взрослый и для детей , есть анимация. Пешком за 15-17 минут можно дойти до пляжа . Рядом есть магазины , кафе. Из минусов : нет кофемашины 🥲 Оплата на территории отеля/в кафе только картой. Постельное белье было с запахом сырости. Если вы покидаете комнату , то перестает работать холодильник ( поэтому просите вторую магнитную карту, иначе еда в холодильнике испортиться).

This is another great Globales hotel. Arrived on the Sunday and was greeted at reception after taking the A11 bus from the airport (little tip, only €5 each and you simply tap your card when you get on and off, and only takes 40 minutes). The receptionist could have explained things a bit better but overall we understood everything like drinks, food times etc. The room was clean and tidy with a fridge in it which was a nice touch. Air-con worked fine and black out curtains were great. The bathroom also had handwashing and shampoo as standard. No real noise issues either. The pool area we clean but could have done with a bit more attention some days. Now the food. Ignore the bad reviews. Each day was amazing with a great select of breakfast, and full meal selection for both lunch and dinner. There were also themed foods nights such as Italian and Mexican. There snack bar in the day also had a good range of food. The bar was as amazing with a good selection of drinks as well. Overall an amazing stay. The only thing we missed was the free Globales bags you use to get with a selection of body products in them.

Just returned from a stay at the Globales Costa de la Calma Apartments very disappointed with the cleanliness of the apartments, cleaners attended the room daily, but never changed the sheets or cleaned the floor, the stairs and reception are clean but not the rooms, stairrails around the pool are loose, and a weak wi-fi signal in rooms,back entrance cant be accessed with swipe card after 22:00, a disappointing stay recommended by family members.

This was our second time at Globales Costa De La Calma. I would highly recommend for families with young children. Some highlights; The hotel is beautifully maintained. The common areas; reception, pool, poolside bar etc are kept clean and tidy all day. There is a great baby pool, big pool and a fantastic play park. The reception in particular offers a warm welcome and smells beautiful. The rooms are well equipped and a great size. We stayed in a 1 bedroom apartment which was very spacious, bright and immaculate. It was well equipped too with a small kitchen area which included everything you’d need for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of fresh linens with towels and sheets changed whenever requested. Food and drink is competitively priced for the area which is great considering it’s a far nicer than most of the bars around. That said, the location is fab for families and there are many great restaurants to choose from. The food in the hotel is lovely but caters more towards breakfast and lunch/lighter options. The pool, bar and entertainment stops at 6pm so, you’ll find yourself heading out most evenings. The staff in the hotel are INCREDIBLE. The service is wonderful and they are all so kind and cannot do enough for you. Special mention to the bar man (I think his name is Pablo) who was so great and patient with the kids. And this is where the hotel really exceeds. The kids club is absolutely fantastic. There is a full program which is free (and flexible depending on what the kids want to do) but the entertainment team are on hand all day to cater to the kids whims. They did drawing, hide and seek, balloon modelling and much more. The program finished at 6pm after a 30 minute minidisco which the kids loved. Slevin was the entertainment manager when we were there and he was absolutely wonderful. I cannot rate him highly enough. There’s opportunity for the hotel to improve by extending the entertainment into the evening and by keeping the bar open later. We’d have stayed poolside into the evening if this was the case. However, I’m really nitpicking here because we honestly loved our stay! Highly recommend!
