Sentido Fido Punta del Mar Hotel & Spa

Just back from a 10 day stay at Punta Del Mar. Absolutely lovely hotel. All areas were spotlessly clean. including rooms, and restaurant. Food was excellent with plenty of choice and variety each day. Situated at the edge of Santa Ponsa bay, the views from everywhere in the hotel are wonderful, looking back to the beach or further out to sea. Lovely pool area, plenty sunbeds and bali beds. What makes this hotel special are the staff. Friendly, welcoming and always willing to help, they make a real difference. Special mentions to Naomi at the pool bar. She was a real superstar. As was Ruben, the entertainment on Wednesday night. His mad routine had us all laughing our socks off.

I have never written a review for a hotel abroad before but I felt I had to on in this occasion. This has to be the worst hotel I have ever stayed in on holiday abroad. We paid for a room bed and breakfast with a Seaview and I wouldn’t really call it to sea view The balcony was more like a prison cell. You have to stand up to see the sea. The room was very, very shabby the shower was worse than school showers back in the day. Dated and grout dirty and rusty shower rails. I wouldn’t even say that the staff were particularly friendly. In fact I don’t really have anything positive to say about this hotel. Dont waste your money staying here. It is isolated from shops restaurants. Taxis are hit and miss and there isnt a bus stop outside either. In the morning there is a mad dash for sun loungersand they are lined up like sardines in a tin by the pool. The pool is dirty. We never dipped a toe in the pool. Layer of scum on surface. On first impression when you arrive at hotel it looks stunning with a sea view but the rooms are the most basic bland dated soul less rooms ive ever stayed in. No way is this 4 star. Over priced and over rated

2nd year visiting PDM. Fantastic as usual. Very clean, tidy and organised. Views are out of this world. Food is great and always a good selection. Bedrooms are comfortable and always get a good nights sleep. Peace and tranquility every day. Thoroughly recommend!

We stayed at Punta Del Mar in June this year. From the outset we were impressed with the amazing views from reception. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient. They kindly gave us a choice of rooms. One was a suite with an excellent view of the sunset, or the one we chose, room 701. A beautiful room with a view of the bay and out to sea. We found the hotel clean and tidy and all staff very friendly. We did intend to eat out each night as we are not buffet fans but after eating out at a (Tripadvisor highly rated) local restaurant, we were not too impressed with the quality and type of restaurants so we ate every night in the hotel. The buffet was varied and of a good standard. Breakfasts were excellent, albeit for tea drinkers, we struggled to find the water hot enough and also took our own teabags. The pool area was always busy, we decided to go for the Bali bed hire each day for sheer comfort @ € 30 per bed but there always seemed enough sunbeds if Bali beds arn’t for you. Two things we did find odd though….. with stunning views out to sea, or over the bay why have the beds facing inwards? The other issue, pool towels only changed Mon, Wed, Fri….at every other hotel we have stayed (which is many) we have never come across a hotel where you can only change towels every other day! We understand sustainability, but really? With the heat in the high 30c, after a few dips, your towel is a wringing mess. With the Bali beds at €30 euros a pop, more than one towel change every other day doesn’t seem unreasonable. These were the only two things we could say was a negative, everything else was spot on. For sunset views, the Blue bar cocktail lounge was excellent. Or outside by the pool, just a bit noisy with the hotel entertainment.

Beautiful hotel situated just on the sea side. Breakfasts and Dinners are amazing. Really healthy food. No grass food. Comfortable rooms with balcony and view on the sea. Sounds of waves touching the river. Just a fairytale. Swimming pools outside are just near the bar. Entertainment activities are very good. They facilitate people’s interaction. Evening shows are on the style of really good music (songs of Tina Turner, Amy Winehouse etc. in a similar style, I’ve loved it! :))
