Boutique Hotel la Rocca

From the minute we arrived, we were blown away by the place!!! We were checked in by the owner of the hotel, who also brought us a welcome glass of wine! The staff in the restaurant were amazing, and very friendly. Food was lovely (especially the Asparagus Risotto) Rooms were great, and the views were just the cherry on top!

We have stayed in the suites in June for two nights. Brilliant location and spotless rooms. The views are like live art, changing colors in every hour of the day. All reception friends are super warm and welcoming. And Angela from the reception waited for us to support us settling in our room, because we were late for arrival. Thank you once again. The restaurant staff were so friendly and very hard working. We definitely want to come back.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we could relax. We were made the feel welcome, our room was of modest size but had a wonderful view. The restaurant food was high quality and the service was excellent. The parking was very convenient. An ideal place to stay for a visit to the Tessin.

We had a fantastic stay. The hotel was located in a superb position with panoramic views of the lake . The area was very quiet . The hotel was clean and well presented and although modern had a unique character . The staff were very attentive and very polite. The owner introduced himself to all the guests . The restaurant served some of the best food I have had , with it being well presented. The head waiter was always cheerful and made us laugh for only having one English menu ! If you are looking for a quiet, unspoilt and high quality stay at Lake Maggiore then I would highly recommend this Boutique hotel .

Myself and two friends spent three nights in this wonderful little gem of a hotel. We arrived in the rain with the free shuttle bus from Locarno but soon felt warm and comfortable. The room we shared was cosy and tastefully decorated in a classic kind of way. It had a large bathroom and plenty of cupboard space for the three of us as well as a few welcome goodies (bottles of water, amaretti cookies, apples and coffee facilities. (Being English, I would have liked a kettle and some tea but I had taken my own with me as hotels in continental Europe mostly don't have tea making equipment.) Each day we enjoyed the great selection of delicious breakfast items from the buffet (including special gluten free bread etc. for my friend). The croissants were particularly fresh and tasty. We took our time and could sit and enjoy the view for a while without feeling we were outstaying our welcome. Day three finally saw the sun in the sky and what a glorious view we had from our room, from the dining room and from the beautiful terrace for our final day! I think the crowning glory of our stay was the high class evening meal which we enjoyed on Sunday. We were accompanied by a live piano artist who played masses of hit songs all evening while we indulged in a gourmet treats and an outstanding red wine from the Tessin, which was recommended by our wine waitress. It was all excellent. All in all we were delighted. We were well looked after by the wonderful, attentive staff and thoroughly enjoyed our whole stay despite the less than perfect weather.
