Lilium Boutique Hotel

The hotel is superb. Very close to Termini Station in Rome and with access to most means of transport. The staff is very friendly and provides any information you request regarding the city of Rome. Access to the rooms is by elevator. The view from the rooms is superb. Cleaning is done daily. In the room there are all the necessary utilities. The rooms have a romantic aspect specific to Rome. It was superb and we will definitely return to this location. Congratulations to the managers and the entire staff. Rome is a superb city.

Stayed here with my husband over Valentine’s weekend and it was lovely. It’s in a lovely location, not too far from the centre and easy walking distance for the Trevi Fountains, Coloseum, The Spanish Steps and the Vatican (around an hour walk) The main entrance is hard to find, but once you know where it is, you’re fine. You can take the lift to the actual hotel entrance, but it looks a bit dated, so we didn’t use it. Hotel is super clean, staff are lovely and nothing is a problem. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

I don't know who submitted all the positive reviews for this hotel. But here is mine experience with it. The hotel is impossible to find due to the lack of any visible signs outside the building . GPS took me to the right building with no problem. Then I spent about an hour circling around trying to ifentify a hotel/ hotel entry. I've got eventually assistance from a lady in the near shop, she walked me to the right port. I noticed that there is no sign saying it's a hotel there. She pointed to a small sign in black color with black letters. The sign was "lost" among many others and was barely readable even stsnding next to it. When I've got inside the yard I still couldn't orient myself on what direction to move as the guidance was in Italian only. I had to wait another 10 minutes for someone to ask. When I finally arrived to the reception I noticed to the owner that it was difficult to find the place. He didn't express even a smallest interest to the matter. Next - for some reason he took a copy of my passport (!) What for?! Showing it would be certainly enough. He also made me to sign some paper, explaining that this is to confirm that hotel won't use information in my pass for any other purposes than check-in... I haven't got back anything on the matter signed by them, not a copy of this document. Basically, I have signed document confirming that some third party won't use my ID for anything. Unfortunately, I was too tired to deal with it at the desk, I asked twice what is it he wants me to sign, and he clearly was giving me explanation without any sense in it. The passport is a property of a country it was issued in. The hotels are not eligible to require it. Taking copy of it is illegal. He also charged me additional fees which I was not aware of (tourist tax). Don't know what's that, haven't investigate it yet. I got receip which did not spesify what the payment was about. The bed in the room was very small, I couldn't have proper sleep on it as there were no place. I didn't know such beds still exist. I am 170 cm and 57 kg, but I still find offering such beds is a torture. It was blowing from a window, so that I moved the bad closer to the door. That was a solution at least. Maybe not an issue on summer, when it's hot outside. A couple of weeks prior to arrival I sent an email to the reception with a question. I got an empty email back as an answer. Definitely never again.

Once you know about the big wooden door, the hotel is easy to find. We were due to arrive around midnight so I contacted the hotel in advance to make sure there would be someone available to let us in, I was reassured that there would be. We rang the bell and the door was quickly unlocked. The hotel is up a few flights of stairs, or you can climb one flight then take the lift. We were shown to our lovely room with a delightful secluded balcony. The room is painted in pastel colours with a dressing table, wardrobe, bedside tables and a mini bar (mini bar prices are very reasonable). The balcony has a table and two chairs and lots of plants. The hotel was not serving breakfast during our visit but there are lots of places to eat nearby and a small supermarket a couple of doors along. We found the location very convenient and could walk to all the various historical sites.
