Clementi 18 Suites Rome

This hotel is in a great location and within walking distance to all the main attractions in Rome. We are currently staying in the junior suite which is spacious and clean and it comes with a mini fridge, tv, kettle and coffee. There is water provided in a glass bottle which is filled daily and our coffee cups are also washed daily. One of the best parts about this hotel is the service- it has been outstanding. Delia messaged us prior to our arrival and ensured the room was ready even though we landed 10:30am and check in isn’t until 2pm. This saved us carrying our bags around the city whilst waiting to check in. I also messaged Delia to see if I could borrow a phone to make a reservation and she booked it on our behalf which is above and beyond anything I could have expected. I also mentioned about needing a taxi back to the airport tomorrow and she went ahead and booked it in advance for us. This morning Celine also messaged our tour guide for us as we were running late and we were unable to contact them. Delia then messaged me to say she was also in contact with my guide and made sure they waited. If it wasn’t for Celine and Delia this morning we would have lost €100 for our tour. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place to anyone visiting Rome and I will definitely stay here during my next visit to Rome. I booked 'Clementi 18 Suites' following the good reviews on tripadvisor. We opted for the Suite 18 which was reasonable value and relatively spacious. The suites are located in an historic building of other apartments/businesses and the main building itself has lots of character. Getting from the street to the room is something of a challenge with a code to enter the building, a slight challenge finding the historic lift, then an entry code to the unmanned Reception area, a code to open the box with the room key and then finally entering the room. Once you have navigated it once it is straightforward but goodness knows what would happen if one of the stages of entry failed! The suite itself was more style over substance with a bath in the bedroom that for us served no function, but the bathroom was spacious if a little impractical. A good shower but slippery with nowhere to hang towels or clothes. The room itself was comfortable with an efficient fridge and comfortable bed. I fail to see the point in a safe which is not fastened down so if someone wanted to break in (not that it would be an easy task) they could just lift it up and walk off with it. I didn't find the Receptionist as helpful as others have stated and the 10.30am check out, whereas it worked for us, wasn't the most customer friendly! My daughter was staying around the corner with friends in a sumptuous apartment which made our suite pale into insignificance but we quite enjoyed staying in a part of Rome we hadn't experienced before. The crux is, would we return to Clementi 18 suites and despite its reasonable value sadly, we wouldn't.

Great staff, tho they aren’t onsite all day they are available to speak with via email at almost all times and respond very quickly! The room was beautiful and the shower was amazing. The location is ideal seeing as it was in the center of all of the main tourist attractions without being crowded or congested. The only draw back is the WiFi connection is very poor and the building is very old meaning the walls are so thick that even normal cell reception doesn’t get through very well. Other than that i highly recommend this location for anyone who wants to be in the middle of the city and want to disconnect from the world while on vacation and you’re trying to wind down. Local food is AMAZING. Smash burger is on the corner and if you’re from America like us you absolutely LOVE it. The Woman at the front desk was very helpful and kind.

The rooms here are perfect and staff lovely, but incredibly noisy next to very loud restaurant with outside seating, noisy until 3am. I wish someone had mentioned this in a review before i booked it. Also the noise of the automatic heavy entry door right under my room, the awoken early by reception noise. It is a shame as otherwise great and in good location. But i am walking around exhausted as i am unable to sleep, even bought earplugs and made no difference!! I asked to move rooms but apparently they are all on the same side.

Amazing clean room very modern and unreal stay with my girlfriend. Great location. Dea was so quick with any responses or queries. Also women at reception was so lovely. Our room was cleaned daily fresh towels ready for us on arriving back. Netflix a lovely touch to get back to the room and watch telly. Thank you so much for making our trip that much more special.

Current staying here and due to go home tomorrow. Could not have picked a better place. Fantastic rooms , clean and airy, with brilliant air conditioning which has been much needed. Kettle & cups but bizarrely no spoons, fridge which is brilliant, hairdryer too. Free safe and WiFi but most of all Delia is do helpful and is readily available for queries. This place is perfect in position for everything ..Will definitely be back
