Grand Hotel Donat Superior & Wellness Center

I booked through the website kupime.hr expecting to be greeted by a miracle hotel, but upon arriving at the hotel we saw that it was in a dilapidated state. A 4-star hotel that normally costs around 280 euros per night has the most uncomfortable bed, offers two pillows, one of which has a ruined pillowcase, the other a small decorative one that you have no idea if they wash it at all. The TV is ancient and has no picture quality, no Netflix or similar packages. The floor of the room is dirty and old. When you are in the bathroom, when the room above you flushes, you hear it as if you are alone in that toilet. Dirty and old. Out of 6 saunas, 3 are working, the foot massager does not work, nor the indoor jacuzzi. Sauna hours from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Also in need of a major renovation. The pool is ok, nothing special. We go down to dinner in an old restaurant where the plastic chairs are covered with some dilapidated tablecloths. Dinner selection of cold appetizers (3 types of cheese, "tuna" carpaccio), salad selection, main course (there was no more salmon, cold chicken skewers, stew and some kind of meat in sauce), side dishes (mashed potatoes, some kind of risotto, paella) and sweet three types of cakes. Are you telling me that this is premium for a 4+ star hotel where a night costs almost 300 euros? After that, we go to the reception where we say that we are dissatisfied, but the employee tells me that we can be happy because we did well with this payment via coupon (we paid 3 days and 2 nights full board 364 euros) because otherwise that price is for one night. The next morning after breakfast we checked out, paid the full amount. No one apologized to us or came to talk to us. I do not recommend it.

The hotel was very modern in the 1970's. The rooms are small but nice and renovated. The park view is great. The worst problem is food and restaurant service. I expect that fresh bread for breakfast is a minimum standard. Unfortunately bread in this hotel was not fresh. Also other food quality was low and preparation poor. The worst was dinner. The wine list was great and wines were superb but we got 10 years old red wine with temperature above 25C and were server in glasses for white wine. We COULD NOT GET TAP WATER beside the bottle of wine. There were very few choices of food, but all food was tasteless and not fresh. If you want to order additional drinks or sign the bill you have to walk through the restaurant to find your waiter and ask him to come to your table. The pools and saunas are nice but they economize and just a few saunas operate so they were so crowded that we decided to pass them. The price for weekend stay was moderate for a 4/5 star hotel but it was extremely overpriced for 2 star quality that is offered.

Amazing staff, heavenly food, great atmosphere, unforgettable experience all over. Perfect location by the promenade. Despite November wheather we were able to enjoy all the services and the Donat spring as it is connected with the hotel by covered walk way. We tooked advantage of and loved all the procedures available. Definitely coming back!

Rooms, pool area, but most of all great above all, I would highlight the multilingual staff of the hotel. We were in a group with one German and one Italian and the staff from the reception to the restaurant speak all the languages mentioned. Also i have to mention sauna area, and specialy relaxing terass for after soauna relaxation, apsolute peace

all in 4**** level, restaurant 5***** Main dishes choice from daily card, top rich buffet. Top slowenian wine ! Hotel have coridor with Medical center. World of saina, and thai massage is great! Rogaška is very nice small citty with imperial feelings. Best value for money in Rogaška.

The advertising in Booking was 3 Swimmingpools but in effect there are only 2 of which only 1 open. Food is average, the bar is poor, the place had very few people and so treatments such as massage etc. were not available as "all booked out", I am asking myself to whom if there is barely anyone here? The hotel next door Rogaska is better, busy and cheaper.
