Fairfield Inn & Suites Roanoke Hollins/I-81

Fairfield Inn in Roanoke Hollins is an older hotel that’s been remodeled, sort of. From the bifold closet door to the old vent on the top of the wall, I’d say a 1970’s or 80’s hotel. You can only access the beds on one side because they are shoved up against opposite walls, and the bedside table in between cannot be moved as it is permanently attached to the wall. My husband and I will have to sleep in separate beds because we both use CPAPS and need a table on either side of the bed and of course there’s no room. We just came from a Hampton inn in Waynesboro that was much nicer, and had ample space around both beds. I must say, I’m very disappointed with Fairfield Inn and doubt very much I will ever book another stay with them. My choices will be Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn.

The hotel was bright and pristine since it was newly renovated. The check in experience was ok he just handed us the key with no explanation about the hotel. But the hotel smelled really nice and especially the rooms they were very nice. The hotel had restaurants near bye like the Mexican restaurant that was very good and I would recommend. The breakfast was really good had an omelette and a waffle bar with toppings also had a hot chocolate bar, and an omelette bar so you can add toppings on it. There were people complaining about pet smells in the reviews but there wasn’t any when we stayed. When we checked out the lady check us out was very nice and wished us a nice trip. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. 4 out of 5. ❌1 star tooken of because of the staff at the beginning.

Based on a referral from our picky daughter who had stayed here a month earlier we stopped for one night while passing through heading north. Booked via Capital One travel portal (Hopper) to use credit. Price was high for Fairfield - $170 or so with tax. Room was standard Fairfield. Breakfast was above average for this level of hotel. Very good. Attendant was out and about dining room and very friendly

Spent 2 nights, a week apart. 1st: The lobby computer has zero privacy and no chair to sit. At one point, guests were asking me if anyone was around because no one came to the front desk and no one was in the corridors or anywhere else visible to guests. I found no one either, for almost a half-hour. Rooms were clean and in good working order. Staff were respectful and professional. 2nd: Same as first, but Staff was available at all times. We both have back problems, and the beds did not help matters. Grab bars in shower/tub even in non-handicapped rooms. Good rates. Will return.

We stopped here for one night. This place is Spotless. The front desk, Amy & Jeff, were so nice they even gave us a list of eateries. They were very helpful with us to ask us if we needed anything. Jaclyn took care of the breakfast area, you could see that she takes pride in her job. The setup was so sweet. The place was so organized. We tipped her because everything was ready at 6:30 AM and the pictures show it all. The breakfast selection was wonderful. The coffee was nice and hot. Thank you for a great visit and if we are your way, we will stop here again. Rated a 10.

This hotel is conveniently located right off I-81, and was perfect for an overnight stay. I called earlier to book an executive suite with my Marriot points because I couldn’t book it through the app. Lachrisya was very nice to talk to and set us up. We were checked in by Maurice who was also very welcoming and the keys to the room were all ready and he just handed them to us and we headed upstairs. It was a very pleasant stay.

Friendly staff with great amenities. We loved the breakfast and our check in gifts. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We just came off the Skyline Drive and stopped here on our way to Asheville.

We were just stopping for one night as we were driving back home. Very clean and comfortable, just what we were looking for. A nice Mexican Restaurant in walking distance. A lot of choice at breakfast buffet, fresh eggs, not powdered. Very pleasant lady over seeing it. Nice staff at desk.

We were welcomed warmly by the manager after a long travel day. She treated my dog like a vip with a treat bag. Hotel is beautifully redone and the bed was great!! Lobby was very comfortable for a good, hot breakfast. Highly recommend this place.
