Check in was easy. Room was clean with a lovely garden and lake view. Water was provided for seperate drinking which was appreciated. Highly recommend the restaurant also! Delicious food and cosy vibes.

Food was great! Book a table so as not to miss out. Bed was clean and comfortable. Room was quiet. No complaints. A good old fashioned pub!

Very spacious. Good location. Only downside is there’s no reception.

The Richmond Arms Hotel is an impressive heritage building set in this historic town. The room itself is quite comfortable but with shared bathroom facilities. There was quite a delay in checking in as the room was not ready but the bar compensated with a complimentary beverage. The hotel is very popular for lunch and dinner with guests and other customers and the food quality and variety is high. I was very grateful for the staff’s assistance when I misplaced my bank card. The only odd thing was that they featured only American sports on the large TV’s in the lounge but no one seemed to notice or care.

Very annoying during the night bypassing car

I have started here twice and both times were pleasant. The first time the room was a bit small but had everything you need, the other the room was massive and very comfortable. The bar and restaurant has a nice vibe and the food is good. Well located to get to Richmond and surrounding sites.

No staff on duty after closing time. No tea/ coffee unless the bar is open. No wardrobe or ANY place to hang clothes, wouldn’t recommend anyone stay at this establishment.

Situation was great to see Richmond & close to Hobart airport which is why we stayed there. Unfortunately one of the shared bathrooms (shower) didn’t have hot water in the morning (6am) and the light in the area where you wash hands was not working. Bed was comfy & would have loved to go on the veranda to look at the views.

Lovely little weekend getaway. We stayed in the barn.we found it very clean and warm even though it was absolutely freezing in richmond. The bed was comfortable. The shower was a little temperamental but our stay was overall very nice. We qill be staying again.

Beautiful outside which invites you to go inside but that was the disappointing part. For a stunning building the decor is disgraceful and looks uninviting and unprofessional - the complete opposite of the outside. Numerous staff working but none seemed to know what the other was doing or what guests required (Or didn’t care) and didn’t know how to interact or smile with guests. Meals were editable but disappointing. We could only presume as the only eating establishment open of an evening they don’t have any competition so can do as they please.
