Lovely hotel, Fabulous staff, delicious food! What more can you want. Special mention to the reception girls, always very helpful and welcoming Stayed a few times and always get a great deal and an enjoyable stay. Can’t wait to come back again!

We had our wedding here last week and everyone worked so hard to make it special. We cannot thank everyone enough, particularly Emily, Georgina, Megan and Kerris as well as all of the staff involved in the wedding who made the day so special. They all outdid themselves and we honestly don’t think the day could have been anymore perfect. From start to finish the staff made it as stress free as possible, we really appreciate everything everyone did for us. All our family and friends loved the venue and the food was divine! Thank you so much again to all of the staff.

Thank You to the Higher Trapp team for making our Christmas so lovely. Our room was spacious with a wonderful view and the food was great. We did feel that a bottle of wine on the table for Christmas dinner would have made it more special as everyone had to queue at the bar to get their drinks and there was only one member of staff on. We enjoyed the quiz and we were lucky enough to meet some great people that were staying. Note to Manager. Please put a tip box on the bar for all the staff!

6th january , loved our our stay here food exellent by mo the best pork ive ever had . millie and sheila where wonderful really looked after us . highly recommend thanks . we was on the all inclusive which is exellent value . its also a lovely location .

We stayed at Higher Trapp on 6th January and from start to finish we could not fault anything. The hotel is in a lovely setting and although we couldn’t take advantage of the beautiful grounds due to snow, I am sure it would be stunning in spring /summer. The hotel has a lot of character and the staff were wonderful. The food during our stay was excellent due to Mo the chef. A special thank you to Millie, Sheila, Mo, John and Megan and Karen and Derek for the good company.

On arrival the carpark was spacious and we had a friendly and helpful young gentleman at reception. The rooms were comfortable and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. We were on the all inclusive break so planned our meal for 7pm. At 5pm we decided to sit in the lounge area and play some board games we had brought. I had received a phone call 2 weeks prior to our stay to say there was going to be a function on in the function room. This did not interfere with our stay at all. We had reserved a table in advance in the dining room. The food was lovely and there was a large selection to choose from. The bar staff and restaurant staff were brilliant and so polite and helpful. After a good night's sleep we went for breakfast. Breakfast was also included in our rate. We had the same table as the night before.The views were stunning from the dining room window. There was a huge choice of cereal, yogurt, fruit, pastries and drinks. Also there was an option to have a cooked full English breakfast with local produce, a vegetarian or vegan option or pancakes. We had a lovely getaway. I'd previously stayed at Ramsbottom so knew the hotel chain was a good one. On check out we met again the helpful gentleman. We would love to return. It was an ideal little getaway, only an hour from home.

Book the inclusive at the Trapp hotel and didn’t know what to expect!! All we could say was wow ! Absolutely fabulous from start to finish ! The staff are an absolute credit to the hotel so helpful and friendly nothing was too much trouble! Food was amazing! The all inclusive is the best value for money we’re ever known ! Definitely recommend and we’re going to book again soon

Not a great Christmas Day experience, food was just 'ok' ham hock/chicken terrine was like cat food, main and dessert was alright. Main issue was no table service for drinks, weirdest thing, everyone had to get up from their tables, leave their meals, to stand at the bar for drinks, which was being serviced by ONE relatively slow bar man, so it was slow. Not even a jug of water left on the table! The tables were really right too, you were back to back with the other diners, really difficult to move between tables, especially with everyone having to get up and and get their own drinks!! Really quite claustrophobic and uncomfortable at times. Didn't stay for the full experience in the end, just needed to get out of there. As I say, food was was ok, staff friendly, overall it wasn't the worst, but I wouldn't go again and wouldn't recommend it. Thanks.

Been to Fitzy’s bar at the Higher Trapp many times and always been high quality! Amazing food and presentation, the desserts are always delicious too! Can’t beat it! Great service too. Always a great place to take the family! ……………………………….
