We stayed at the resort for two weeks from August 8 to August 22, 2024, there were 8 of us and after a week my son and his girlfriend joined us, for a total of 4 rooms. The structure, although pleasant in itself, had a series of shortcomings, unacceptable for a 5-star structure such as the Curio Collection chain. Mine is intended to be a helpful survey and not a polemic one; in that case I would have had to leave the structure after three days. The services… the services were missing! The rooms were not adequately cleaned. My shower (even after reporting it) did not drain water so I had to wait 15 minutes after it was used to avoid flooding the room. Regularly towels had to be requested from housekeeping, or else we would be left without them, the bed was not made but only covered, the complimentary coffee and sugar in the rooms was missing every other day. The water in the minibar was brought to us after the cleaning lady remembered to report it. The light in the magnifying mirror was broken. The do not disturb lightening outside the door did not work. I don't think my terrace was ever swept. My problems, except for something, were exactly the same as those encountered by my sister (one day she witnessed the cleaning of her room: it took the lady just 2 minutes, where the result was only the covering of the bed, no change of towels, no coffee, no water, no cleaning!). In the room of my son who arrived on the 15th, they left the fruit plate for a week (of course after 3 days it began to mold). Identical issues with the stuck shower and no towels (every evening they called to have them cleaned; they would even get replaced with dirty ones). Buffet restaurant: breakfast: after 9.30 the waiting times to sit down increased, even up to 15', the dishes were not representative of the term hygiene, the food qualitatively not the best, the mise en place almost always missing, sometimes we sat down and almost at the end of the meal we would get asked if we wanted something to drink. Common areas of the resort well kept, I mean the gardens. I don’t think that the corridors that lead to the rooms were ever cleaned in two weeks of stay. The pool in my father's room was cleaned after two days of being there, only to return to being a swamp and not being used for the rest of the holiday as the filtration system, and even if it did exist, it did not work. The beach. Another sore point. Old sunbeds, never or almost never cleaned by the staff, towels delivered late in the morning and most of the time damp. Walkway with broken slats, unkempt and unclean beach, shower on the beach with rusty knobs, toilets in the pool area eternally dirty. Very nice pool but unusable, water perpetually opaque. The spa: welcoming and clean with good service… however, when I asked for a wax I was told: ‘out of stock!’ In a Curio, I repeat, in mid-August. Inadequate staff I think compared to Hilton standards.
