Afandou Beach

La buona esperienza inizia con l'accoglienza. Già lì abbiamo avuto la sensazione che le persone che lavorano qui vogliano farti godere il tuo soggiorno. Siamo stati qui due volte, una volta avendo una stanza con una camera da letto separata per il nostro adolescente, la prossima volta solo in coppia. Entrambe le volte ci hanno dato camere belle e ben tenute, con tutto funzionante come dovrebbe, bello e pulito, e con letti comodi. Un sacco di spazio nell'armadio sia per le nostre cose che per le valigie, quindi è facile mantenere la stanza bella e ragionevolmente ordinata durante il soggiorno. Bagno pulito, abbastanza spazioso e in buone condizioni in tutti i modi. Nessun minibar, ma un frigorifero per essere sicuri di avere a disposizione bevande fredde. La colazione è buona e offre una buona selezione di tutto, comprese le omelette preparate su ordinazione, preparate da una signora gentile e disponibile che ci saluta con un sorriso ogni mattina. Notare che; non abbiamo mangiato nel ristorante principale a pranzo e nemmeno a cena. Risolviamo semplicemente quel problema alimentare noleggiando sempre un'auto all'aeroporto e ci piace andare da qualche altra parte per pranzo o cena. Una volta abbiamo provato lo snack bar a bordo piscina per pranzo, ed è stata una brutta esperienza. Forse il cameriere era l'unica persona di cattivo umore della zona, volevano che firmassimo il conto prima di prendere il cibo, che era sia cattivo che costoso. Probabilmente questo è adattato all'aspettativa degli ospiti che scelgono tutto compreso, cosa che non abbiamo fatto e non faremo mai, quindi le persone possono ordinare e buttare via qualsiasi quantità di cibo desiderino. L'unica brutta esperienza al resort. Ma la ciliegina sulla torta di questo hotel è senza dubbio l'enorme offerta di attività sportive. È possibile provare molti sport senza spese aggiuntive, con gli allenatori che lo facilitano in modo divertente e coinvolgente. Ciclismo, Cross-fit, stile aerobico, stretching, yoga, acquagym, padel tennis, tennis. La palestra è ben attrezzata. Il ciclismo può essere fatto con visite guidate, oppure puoi semplicemente prendere in prestito la bicicletta (diversi tipi) e fare il tuo percorso secondo i tuoi ritmi. La nostra famiglia ama molto gli sport con la racchetta e durante i nostri soggiorni ha goduto di lezioni giornaliere con buoni allenatori sia di tennis che di padel. Ricordati di iscriverti in anticipo il giorno prima. Il resort ha anche una serie di fantastiche piscine e, se ti piace nuotare come un modo per allenarti, una piscina separata è designata per tale uso. Ci sono anche due piscine "disponibilità generale", una piscina "zona tranquilla", una piscina separata per bambini e una piscina coperta. Andando in spiaggia, troverai tavole SUP e kayak che puoi usare gratuitamente, ea pagamento puoi fare lezioni di sci nautico, con istruttori davvero bravi o noleggiare una barca a vela. L'acqua è bella e pulita, ma si consiglia vivamente di portare delle scarpe da bagno, perché NON è una spiaggia di sabbia soffice, - sono piccole pietre, che almeno ai miei piedi non piacciono molto. Se sei come noi e ti piace vedere cose fuori dal resort, tieni presente che non c'è molto da fare a breve distanza a piedi. Non sono a conoscenza della qualità dell'agenzia di autonoleggio che ha una scrivania

È davvero uno dei migliori hotel che abbia mai visitato! I cocktail allo snack bar erano fantastici e il cibo al loro ristorante era ancora più perfetto! Lo chef è adorabile come tutto il personale! Sicuramente sarà di nuovo una delle nostre scelte

Let me start with this hotel. Its basic not over all cleanliness is present its just a quick flick over! The reception staff at times seamed fake friendly unless you were handing over money we were advised to go back at various times to extend the room for late check out and kept being told come back another day or time only to be told no rooms available! The hotel is near nothing apart from the hotel behind then a very pebbly beach no shops bars etc on the seafront so if you want to see the island at all you need a car reception can sort that for you 2 days before prior notice only. If you want a holiday were you don't want to leave the complex and just chill for the week then this is the hotel because the pools nice plenty of sunbeds no fighting or towel marking, lots of foreigner's not many English mainly German and Russian. Food is OK nothing special buffet style. Overall its a 3 star hotel but there are nicer 3 star hotels on the island so you decide!

We were in the hotel with a group of friends. Great, quiet, clean place to stay. Good food and room in general. I would especially like to mention the staff of the bar. Anna and Daria are very friendly, polite and make delicious cocktails. They also recommended places for us to visit, we were very satisfied. Definitely recommend to stay!

Thanks very much to Mr Tasha’s Manager of the hotel and all the staff for a warm welcome. the food at the hotel is simple, not a very large selection, but you definitely won’t stay hungry. A large green area was very pleased, as well as an excellent selection of cocktails at the bar. The rooms are old, but for those who came to enjoy the country and not sit in the room is a great option. The hotel also has Deluxe rooms, for those who love modern renovation) Our vacation in 2023 was a success)

Excellent hotel we visited for a 3rd time, located at walking distance from beautiful mostly sandy beach with pebbles (5-minute walk). Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice and clean rooms with A/C. Every day we had a great variety of food you could choose from. We appreciated 2 pools and a pool bar with all-inclusive offering we enjoyed. We had a great vacation here, and plan to return also next year.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 night stay at the Afandou beach hotel. It’s a typically Greek hotel with a friendly, traditional feel. From the moment we arrived (at 3:30 am) to the moment we left, the staff were so accommodating and friendly. Special mention to the lovely reception lady. We loved the pool and the bar staff and life guard were very friendly. There was a wide range of choice for food served at each meal in a large air conditioned restaurant. As it’s a 3 star hotel, the facilities in the room reflects this but it’s worth the money. There is a large reception area with plenty of seating inside and out. There was always enough sun beds and the gardens and grounds were beautiful. It’s conveniently located near the beach which is beautiful and not too over touristy which we like. The bus stop at the end of the road allows you to visit other areas (Rhodes town is beautiful) and we recommend the water park in Falaraki. There’s also a little train that runs regularly from the hotel, for 4 euros (2 for children) so you can explore Afandou. We also loved the fact that there were not many other British people here so we could switch off and enjoy eachothers company. We met lots of friendly families from mainly Poland, Czech Republic and Germany. There was also a very fun Greek night with great food and dancing on the Sunday eve. My only little ******* were that the local supermarket is a fair distance away but there is a small shop on site. Also the beds were a little firm for our liking and the wifi was fairly non existent (but we used our phones to hotspot from instead) All in all, this was a great holiday for us and exactly what we needed which was a quiet get away. It’s good value for money at the price we paid. We thoroughly recommend to other families.
