The Lindos View is a lovely hotel with great staff. Our room (family room) was dated, but was large, clean and had a spacious balcony with a good view. AC and a safe are free. We were half board and enjoyed the breakfast (especially the little spinach and cheese pies). Being the end of season (we stayed for 10 nights) the evening meal was limited for a vegetarian, however what was on offer was really delicious, especially the briam and the aubergine dish. The two pools and the gardens are well maintained and very beautiful. Don’t be put off by the walk into Lindos (as I was before visiting). There are several ways down, and with a few short rests, I walked back up daily. Obviously walking back up takes a little longer! The hotel is peaceful, but the town is a must. Great beaches, bars and charm. We usually stay in Rhodes City each year, and Lindos has become a little more expensive than the last time we visited. There’s a couple of supermarkets a few minutes away and the Ice Bar provides good food and drinks. We hired a car to visit our favourite beaches and the city. It would have been a bonus if the hotel had a happy hour in the evening which would encourage guests to stay at the bar. We have stayed in Rhodes City many times in October, and have also stayed in Lardos, Ixia and Pefkos at the end of season and have never paid to keep the room before, simply because there are no more guests arriving. Our flight wasn’t until 11.30pm and we wanted to keep the room until 8.00pm so that we could fully enjoy the last day. This was also the last day for the hotel and we were charged for the room (I can’t remember whether it was €50 or €65) - it would have been a nice gesture if this was free for the remaining handful of guests. If you like Lindos and enjoy a quiet setting, you will enjoy your stay at Lindos View.
