Akti Imperial Deluxe Resort & Spa Dolce by Wyndham

We had one of the most delightful stays here during the October school break. As is normal with my reviews, here is some practical info and opinion that should help travellers. (some *photo attached). I have also attached a *location map of the hotel. Convenient location: From airport: ~15 minutes by taxi, 40-45 minutes by tour operated buses. To city centre and old town ~10 minutes by taxi. Taxi-stand right across the road, prices displayed. Day time ~12 Euros, 13-14 Euros at nighttime. There is a bus stop on the main road with *ticket machine (*1.80 Euros one way at the time). *Shops, restaurants, tour operators & water sports (would recommend using the water sports here rather than ones in town unless you want to spend 3 times the price) nearby. Don’t haggle too much, but you do get hotel guest concession at water sports. Reception and staff: All staff professional, courteous, extremely hard working and helpful. Reception can get busy and probably can improve with the speed of check in. Food and drinks: Main restaurant variety of foods, tasty, live kitchen, Tasty food. Vegan options +. It got very busy one evening and there was a wait for about 10 minutes for us, but some waited longer. This kind of rush is not unique to this hotel. Multiple bars with nearly 18 hours of snacks and flow of a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Main restaurant open 24 hours a day, with some basic but filling menu late night/early morning. Other *opening times-see photo. Entertainment team: Fabulous team that kept kids and adults totally engaged. Hats off to their hard work. Day time- for all, evenings for kids and families, later evening/ night- for adults. Outdoor podium. We loved this as, this did not feel crammed as can happen in indoor auditorium. Multiple activities during the day. Rooms: Clean, well maintained, usual amenities present. We took front sea view and enjoyed the stunning skyline and stunning *sunsets. Fridge gets topped up daily- wine, beer, soft drinks, water, juice!! (certainly, did for all inclusive.) We never used beer/wine as we enjoyed them at the main bar. Multiple floors, but dedicated lifts for 2-3 floors each. This avoids them being busy. Indoor and outdoor swimming pools, enough sun beds (including hotel owned ones on the beach). They don’t have a staff tips jar and would highly recommend that the management instals one. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. Would I go back? A big yes!

I’m responding to the reply I got back from my review. I’m appalled that you’ve lied and made me look like I only complained to get a free upgrade to a sea view room wow. We had a partial sea view room and we were next door to our friends so we didn’t want to move!! The only time I asked about paying for an upgrade was when we first checked in (not seen our room yet) you said there’s none available as the hotel was fully booked which was fine. Therefore why would I make up a phantom smell 3 nights in that even our neighbours could smell? Even the night porter slipped up… at first he said there’s no smell, then when I joked saying he’s probably used to it, he says “I’m not used to THAT smell”. He opened the balcony door and the front door and the smell eventually disappeared. That’s great If I wanted everyone looking in my room and getting bitten by mosquitoes so every night around 11pm we had to air out the room for an hour before we could go to bed seeing as though they wasn’t taking our complaint seriously. TIP- don’t complain the receptionist won’t take you seriously.

We stayed for 10 days in June 2024 as a family of three in a seaview room. Room was clean and tidy, not the biggest but we didn't spend much time in there. we found the whole hotel clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was very good, plenty of choice, we particularly enjoyed the Asian cuisine in the main restaurant. pizza's and giro's at the pool bars were very good. It was nice being able to change your hotel towels daily. There were always plenty of sunbeds around the pool. Our only gripe was the lifts, they ere very slow and certain lifts went to certain floors so could sometimes be a wait. We met another wonderful family during our stay and have already booked to return with them in July 2025. we would definitley recommend this hotel.

We had a fantastic time at the hotel. We have stayed in a few all inclusive hotels in Greece in the past and this is by far the best we’ve had. The food is good quality with a large variety. If you would like a freshly cooked omelette for breakfast they will cook them in front of you. The themed restaurants do a set taster menu. Book the themed restaurants early in your stay as they do fill up quite quickly. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The entertainment is as to be expected in a hotel in Rhodes - lots of pop covers from the same musicians in bands of different configurations. The sun loungers around the pool get claimed very early. The beach is much less crowded and the sea is fantastic for swimming in. I’d recommend beach shoes that you can go in the water with.

The hotel room was great there was two different rooms and the fridges are stocked every nights but the only problem I have is that the hotel room bathrooms don't have a lock on them and you feel really exposed and their vaguely see through so it's like blurry glass making it more uncomfortable but other than that it was great amazing food nice kebabs nice staff it has everything except a lock on the bathrooms
