AAaxiuLa sorella della reception è molto bella e paziente. L'hotel è caldo e delicato. La posizione non è lontana dal centro. Può baciare il volobus. È molto conveniente. Può essere scarso il suono di isolamento, il pavimento di legno del corridoio ha un grande risonanza. Il suono della sedia accanto alla stanza è anche un po'sottile.

UUtente ospiteAbbiamo soggiornato per 3 notti, l'hotel è in una posizione perfetta vicino a ristoranti. 5 minuti dal porto e 15 minuti dalla chiesa. Taxi disponibile proprio di fronte. La colazione era ottima con una buona scelta. Il personale si rifornisce rapidamente. La reception è a posto. Due cose vorrei sinceramente commentare: - a causa delle condizioni meteorologiche, le strade erano chiuse e quasi non riuscivamo a fare il check-in, l'hotel non offriva alcuna flessibilità di cancellazione comprendendo le condizioni. Non penso che sia giusto. Vogliono ancora farci pagare. - dopo il check-in in camera, il cestino della toilette non è pulito con l'assorbente trovato e il pavimento non è stato pulito con anche alcuni scaglie di cibo a terra.

UUtente ospiteThis hotel has a lot going for it, but it's held back by the fit and finish of many of the hotel's spaces. Overall, the hotel just feels dated. The red carpet in all of the halls is faded and stained, the wood floor in the room had a lot of damage, and the spa is way past its prime. On a positive note, the furniture in the room has been updated recently and the pieces were nice plus I found the bed to be very comfortable. Also, breakfast was really good! The service at the hotel was also great. But that spa, ugh. It's a perk of being a gold/diamond member, but the spa is just not in good condition. Most urgently, something needs to be done about the steam room, it smelled awful while we were there and even made other parts of the spa smell. But overall, the spa was just not in good shape with damage everywhere. Also, the location of this hotel isn't great if you're looking to explore Reykjavik but, if like us, you want somewhere with free parking for you to explore the rest of Iceland, then this is a great location for you.

UUtente ospiteKex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

BBb.88Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno estremamente piacevole e considereremo sicuramente questo hotel la prossima volta. Ottima posizione, personale cordiale e la camera aveva tutto ciò di cui avevamo bisogno. Anche il caffè e il tè gratuiti nella hall erano un bel tocco, specialmente in una città costosa come Reykjavik! Ho anche apprezzato il fatto che gli ospiti diano l'opportunità di rinunciare alla pulizia della camera e ricevono in cambio un buono per un drink per il bar dell'hotel.

UUtente ospiteMe and my Fiancé visited Iceland at the start of May for 4 nights (wish we had booked longer but hindsight is a great thing!) And from to finish it was amazing! The Hotel staff were incredibly friendly, as were all of the people we met in Iceland, its true what they say that everybody is so welcoming and friendly in Iceland. At check in we were greeted with a warm welcome by friendly staff, we did early check in which worked out around £40 but so worth it as we had been awake since 3:30am travelling. Our room was on the 6th floor and easy to get to via lift or stairs. It was very modern with a beautiful view, extremely cosy bed, very clean and had good amenities such as a mini fridge, hair dryer, towels & wash cloths etc. The only thing with our room was it was very hot in there despite having the window open but i guess that is because it was high up, so i'd recommend you have cool pyjamas for night time. We had breakfast included and oh my goodness it was outstanding! We are not usually breakfast people but we actually made sure we got up every morning to make sure we did not miss it! The bacon and eggs were delicious and my Fiancé said the croissant's other things he had were amazing! Two coffee machines, fresh water that was always being refilled, a cold juice machine and fresh fruit. And again the staff were friendly and welcoming which is always nice in the morning. We didn't try the restaurant as we were packing in so many activities in the day we just ate out wherever we found. We also didn't try the spa/gym and that was because of time as well. Overall we would definitely stay here again and maybe try a suite next time.

Mi è stata assegnata la stanza proprio sopra l'ingresso principale come tale, può essere molto rumoroso ogni volta che la gente entra o esce dall'albero con la porta sbattere e qualche vibrazione si sente! Il bagno e il bagno sono abbastanza puliti e tempestosi. Molto gentile area comune per mescolare e fare nuovi amici. La cucina ha tutte le necessità di base. Mi piace soprattutto la piccola area fuori dalla mia stanza dove posso avere un pasto leggero e una bella vista dell'ambiente. Acquistato il biglietto per passeggeri illimitati attraverso l'app Klappid per viaggiare all'interno della capitale di Reykjavik e bus svc 12 è a pochi passi da qui. Se il tempo permette, si può anche camminare verso la zona costiera per vedere la vista. In generale, sono molto soddisfatto del mio soggiorno di 8 notti a Laekur Hostel!

SStefanI can absolutely sympathise with people who struggle to get in and check in to this hotel. When you book through a 3rd party app, you do not receive your room number or entry code. The check-in process is then an adventure of trying to shout into a tablet near the front door, for a call that lasts maximum 2 minutes before it disconnects and you have to try again. The layout is… odd… to say the least, but if you follow the signs you can eventually end up at your room (if you find some of the doors that work, not all do). The maintenance person who broke into our room while we were out forgot to lock the door, so we were at risk of all of our things being stolen, which wasn’t ideal. The room itself was nice, location is good and as long as you don’t need anything, you are getting what you pay for.

MMiffy woAnche se la stanza è piccola, è molto comodo trasferirsi. C'è una password per entrare e uscire. Il supermercato Xiaozhu è a 150 metri di distanza e anche i negozi sono molto vicini. Anche la colazione è buona e non è troppo lontano per raggiungere la strada principale e la Pearl Tower.
