Most probably the best hotel in Reykjavik, modern, new, everything in great condition and with a great location. That being said it is a very expensive hotel even for Icelandic standards. So let me start with the highlights of this hotel: - Very comfortable and great materials condition. - AC with individual room adjustable temperature is a great plus for Iceland. - I got the basic room and it felt big enough, modern and super clean. The bathroom was also big but there was no bathtub unfortunately. Great comfortable bed and sheets. - Le Labo bath products are truly amazing. One of the best I ever tried! I also appreciated that for ecologic reasons they weren't in non reusable small plastic bottles. - The rooms are silent and relaxing. I would change the black TV furniture as black always highlight the dust on it.. even when the room is nicely cleaned. - The breakfast is big and overall with good quality. But daily variation should be bigger. - The location is perfect to stroll along the shops and walking distance to the most important city spots. - The spa is beautiful and very interesting. Probably the most well designed small spa in a city hotel I have ever seen. Complimentary use of the spa is a very nice touch indeed. Although it was a really good expericence in no way this was a perfect stay specially when the price tag is considered: - The hall and corridors cleaning left too much to be desirable. At least at 3rd floor corridor there was dust, earth and stains that remained for the whole 3 night stay. It is strange as the rooms are really well cleaned (maybe it's a different team? maybe someone forgot that the corridors are also to be cleaned?). - The reception. It is always busy and sometimes feels chaotic at the proper hotel entrance. I also felt that some guest were treated differently and with more care. I got no welcome drink or even the suggestion to leave the bags. That's ok for me but then I realized the guest next to me was immediately offered all of this. I mean.. consistency is important at this level. - Hidden fees. Ok maybe it was a misunderstanding but when we arrived we were told that the hotel had valet parking only. But nobody told us the extortion each night of it. At the chekout there it was though. Also in the breakfast there was no specific tag with the champagne price but after I filled a glass with it a waiter quickly send me the bill to sign. I mean it is very bad to mix not included stuff in the buffet. Also every egg besides the scramble had a price tag. I mean for almost 700 euros a night is it reasonable to charge for a egg toast?. - The room curtains. Beautifull but totally off for iceland summer status (2-3hours of darkness). Light comes in in every curtain fold so it is impossible to cover it. Every night I woke up several times due to too much outdoor light in the rooms. This should be quickly addressed. It honestly really bothered me. - The spa only opens at 12h00 meaning you cannot use it

L'unico motivo per restare qui è per il conveniente pick-up e smettere di fermarsi per le tour e l'aeroporto. La stanza era una 4 letti e era forte. Situato al contrario della cucina e sopra l'ingresso principale significava che era anche molto rumoroso. I bunker sono molto, molto fondamentali. Ci sono punti di carico a ogni letto in questo particolare dormitorio (3) e il giacca fornito è una lancia decorativa. La pulizia lasciava molto da desiderare. In linea di massima doveva chiedere la ricezione di sapone a mano nel bagno, asciugamani di carta e carta da bagno. Il Wi-Fi non esiste e il personale di ricezione è assolutamente ambivalente; sono piacevoli, ma assolutamente non desiderano aiutare. Si ricorda una negabilità plausibile: restate qui solo per la posizione che vi permette di accedere a tutto ciò che l'Islanda deve offrire.

La posizione è vicino all'aeroporto nazionale, c'è un autobus dall'aeroporto internazionale per circa un'ora. La posizione è nella media Dopotutto, il prezzo corrisponde a questo standard, ma c'è un ristorante nella hall al primo piano dell'hotel, puoi mangiare in hotel e puoi mangiare a la carte oa buffet. Il buffet ha uno o due piatti in linea con i gusti asiatici e il prezzo è ok. Servizi igienico-sanitari: le condizioni igienico-sanitarie in Islanda non sono male.

Arrivati non c era la mia prenotazione fatta su Expedia. Ci fanno attendere, trovano una camera, una suite familiare di cui allego foto. Pulizia indecente addirittura tornati la sera alle 22 da un tour, il bagno non era pulito! È venuto il receptionist a cambiarci le lenzuola (mai cambiate) in realtà voleva che le cambiassimo noi....a darci poi la carta igienica che mancava...a parte la pulizia orripilante, i muri erano crepati come dalle foto che non hanno bisogno di spiegazione. Reclamato con la direttrice ci accorda un rimborso, non avvenuto al check out perché non sono riusciti ad accreditare su 2 carte di credito (Mediolanum e Unicredit) no cash, no bonifico. Cosa fare? Scriverò a destra e manca è un hotel vergognoso a dir poco eravamo neri. PS: abbiamo viaggiato con figlio di 10 anni che tra l altro ha dato una botta in testa sulla scala a chiocciola che come.vedete dalle foto è attaccata al letto, devi passare tipo egiziano.

Outstanding budget option in a city that could use inexpensive lodging. The upside include: comfy bedding, warm environment, well maintained, solid breakfast with self choice, and great windows letting in light. Bath surrounding is clean and easy to manage. This is a hostel but our room was a one bedroom space with king size bedding. Best beef of our trip! The owners were great; super helpful. Questions: if you cannot get passed the hostel issue, then .... Maybe not the place. The guests were quiet, mindful, and considerate. Not a party hostel.

I stayed here for four nights ONLY because my positive Covid test, the day before my scheduled flight back to the U.S.A., required that I self-quarantine for five days before I could request a ”Fit to Fly” Certificate to get on my return flight. Needing to quickly find a place to stay for several nights that was not too far from the BSI Terminal, I felt blessed that this place met my needs at a price that significantly less than other lodgings. Unfortunately, the number of negatives were simply too much for me to ignore. Let me be clear: I am not fussy when it comes to sleeping accommodations. When I do wilderness backpacking, a roof over my head & an outhouse are luxuries for me. I knew this place had shared bathrooms but figured (correctly, I need to emphasize) it would not be a problem for me. First, the positives. Good location in a quiet neighborhood at a budget price. Warm, comfortable beds. Very clean rooms, including all common areas. Excellent wifi. Spotless kitchen had more utensils than I expected, with plenty of refrigerator space for your food; thus allowing you to save on meals. A hair dryer was in the room. Negatives. Unless you are walking along the Snorrabraut sidewalk, with a good idea of where this place is -- it's right behind the bus stop, BTW -- you'll never see its sign. With a lack of street signs in the area, I can't say I'm surprised I got lost trying to find the place. There is no elevator; it was not fun to carry my suitcase up a flight of stairs. Check-in was not till 3pm, and there is no place to safely store your luggage. I've gotten used to mid-afternoon check-ins, but having to sit around till then is also not fun. My room was supposedly designed for four people, but I see no way for more than two people to not trip over each other. The paint on the white table was clearly coming off, and any attempt to move it resulted in its legs falling apart. TV had ONLY Apple TV, meaning you must pay extra for anything you wanted to see. I enjoy watching news & free entertainment, but this was literally impossible. The washing machine was broken while I was there. ANY ability to do laundry is a nice feature, and getting it free is a real treat. But not if it's unusable. My room has radiator heat, meaning you have two choices: lots of heat or none at all. I must state that my biggest negative was lack of communication about getting a room key. All I got was an email message stating ”Front door: xxxxxx” and ”Room code: xxxxx”. I've spent a lifetime training people how to use technology, often after I had to teach myself because of bad instructions, so I'm pretty good at figuring out how to get things to work. And I had no problem getting in the front door. But getting my room key took me almost fifteen minutes because there was nothing more about unlocking the box beyond the above words. Siamo rimasti qui per una notte quando siamo arrivati per la prima volta in Islanda, e per un'altra notte solo prima di lasciare l'Islanda una settimana dopo! Quindi posso dire sinceramente che andremmo di nuovo, in realtà, siamo stati felici di tornare! L'ostello è pulito e confortevole e il personale è stato fantastico, così amichevole e utile. Il check-in tardivo per una delle nostre visite è stato anche super facile. Fate un colazione con una buona gamma di cibo bello - stile continentale del colazione. Le camere sono forse un po' variabili - una notte eravamo in una stanza gemella che era molto elementare, ma l'altra notte eravamo in una bella stanza studio. L'ostello ha diversi edifici sulla stessa strada, quindi immagino sia solo fortuna del disegno che è disponibile quando si prenota, ma entrambi erano puliti e confortevoli, quindi non ci sono denunce. Anche io direi che il prezzo era buono - ovviamente Reykjavik è generalmente molto costoso, ma non riuscivo a trovare un migliore affare di questo. La posizione era anche grande, su una tranquilla strada solo pochi minuti a piedi nel centro della zona turistica di Reykjavik.
