Reykjavik: hotel a 2 stelle

Ho prenotato due camere perché viaggiavano in 5 : camere veramente molto piccole, quasi difficile muoversi . Di positivo sicuramente c’era la pulizia, la cortesia dello staff che ci ha fornito la camera già al mattino , il parcheggio gratuito . Avevo soggiornato molti anni fa euro redavo delle camere più grandi e spaziose anche se eravamo solo in due all’epoca . Diciamo che va bene come appoggio a Reykiavic ma non per lunghi soggiorni .comunque positivo

Kex… Ugh such a frustrating review to write. I really wanted to like the Kex hostel it has its good points, but overall was the worst hostel stay I have had in Iceland. I’ll give you my very detailed opinion. The Bad… -Lacking in the toilet paper department!!! We were on floor 4 there were several private bathrooms with showers and also separate locker room style bathrooms. At 7:30 AM I ran to the bathroom after finishing my business realized there was no TP! Ugh. Anyway afterwards I looked through the different open stalls with toilets. Only 3 toilets on the whole 4th floor had TP! To me having adequate TP is an essential thing. The bathrooms weren’t restocked until 10AM ish. And we aren’t even in peak tourist season. We mentioned the issue to the staff and they said “just call next time you need something” kinda hard to “just call” when you have already done your business in the bathroom and you need something to wipe with! They need to have staff check the bathrooms more frequently. -The kitchen is sad in the “equipment” department. One of the reasons we stay at hostels is to cook our own food. Maybe they are trying to push buying food from their restaurant. I get that they get a lot of traffic. But the cooking pan selection is -Terrible- nasty old pans that the thrift shop would discard. Janky handles, and interior coating mega gouged out. Don’t come here expecting to cook at least on level 4. -No way to make coffee!!! Again they probably want you to pay for their breakfast. But there is no option to make coffee. No coffee pot, machine, or way to make a filter pour over etc. Don’t bring coffee grounds expecting to make your morning brew. There was an electric kettle, but again no way to make coffee unless you brought instant. -The showers need a good bleach and scrub. The walls had black mold growing on them. Considering the fact that Kex was our most expensive hostel in Iceland (we paid 20,906 for a private double, with linens, and shared bathrooms…or $153 US) compare Kex to the Svjarborg in Stykkisholmer $90 US or Halfdan HI Hostel $63 US ( in both we had a private double & shared bath) but both were awesome and had a fully equipped kitchen with decent quality pots, options to make coffee, and plenty of toilet paper. I understand that being in the city we can expect to pay more. BUT I expect that price to include: -enough toilet paper -a means to make coffee -decent cookware. The good… -The location is great. Easy walking distance to the main shops/streets. And the ocean right across the highway. -Awesome “vibe” cool decor, lots of couches/lounge areas. -Entertaining/Social. In the evening there was group song trivia in the main area, and in another a live band. -Our room a private double with shared bathroom was large, and we slept well. (Note: I have never stayed in a “quiet” hostel so I always travel with a sleep soundtrack on my phone and a melatonin) -The staff was all polite In conclusion, I have traveled on 4 contine

L'alloggio in Islanda è molto costoso, ma il prezzo dell'hotel è molto buono.La posizione è conveniente, la cattedrale è pochi minuti, il supermercato è anche vicino, è conveniente per l'autobus e l'autobus.Il tuo volto è comodo e la cucina è conveniente. Purtroppo, prima di arrivare, avevo contattato i proprietari per scoprire se le tole erano incluse nel nostro soggiorno e non abbiamo mai ricevuto una risposta. Quando siamo entrati nell'appartamento triplo, abbiamo notato il flanco di vernice/concreto dalla parete e uno di noi ha persino dovuto mettere un giacca sopra il letto per fermare la caduta di rifiuti. La proprietà è descritta come comprendente bagni da bagno, tè e caffè, ma non c'erano sacchi di tè e la quantità di caffè istantaneo nel contenitore era quasi sufficiente per un giorno. Le tolettarie erano ciò che sembrava essere gel di doccia che era stato lasciato dietro dai visitatori precedenti. Quando cerchiamo il vostro shampoo standard e condizionatore che ci si attende di essere in mostra, abbiamo trovato due bottiglie di alcol vuoto piene di sigarette button dentro di loro e le punte di bottiglia lasciate in una delle tavole laterali del letto. Questo suggerisce che l'appartamento è raramente pulito. Quando si usa il doccia c'è stato un orribile odore di uova/feci e non c'è posto vicino abbastanza rulli igienici per 3 persone per 3/4 giorni. Abbiamo capito che l'alloggio era stato descritto come una casa ospite, ma nonostante la politica di ”non c'era rumore dopo mezzanotte” - la gente che si trovava dall'altra parte della casa ospite era rumore e gridava tutto il giorno e La musica alta che significava che non potevamo godere pienamente dei nostri piani il giorno dopo. In generale, non ci fermeremmo di nuovo e non consigliamo l'ospite se si desidera un soggiorno pulito e tempestivo. Abbiamo deciso che la prossima volta sarebbe stato utile spendere soldi supplementari per un soggiorno confortevole e tranquillo in un altro posto della città.

Posizione centralissima, 5 minuti a piedi dalle vie dello shopping, 2 dalla Cattedrale. Cucina fornitissima e rapporto qualità/prezzo buono per gli standard islandesi. Colazione basica. Possibilità di parcheggio gratuito nelle vicinanze. Lavandino in stanza Cosa non è piaciuto · la stanza piccola è veramente piccola, oltre il letto matrimoniale., rimane poco spazio per 2 persone, approssimativamente 2mq

I'm usually not a person who writes reviews , but I truly feel that Freyja Guesthouse deserves a review. Let's start with something that truly impressed me about our experience at Freyja. It a rarity in today's world that you will find more accommodating, helpful, and people willing to go above and beyond for their guests. Let me explain. While many hotels will hold your luggage for you, they waited for and delivered to our room luggage that had been left in Boston so that we could enjoy a worry free Golden Circle tour. That's nothing compared to what truly impressed me about our visit. While on that tour my wife injured herself requiring medical attention the next morning. They helped us figure out where to go, offered a ride there, brought our luggage to the hospital, and then dropped us off at the cruise port so we could make our embarkation. If you're looking for a Bed and Breakfast type of accommodation give them a try they will impress you as they did me. Time for a little about the overall accommodations. The rooms although smaller are comfortable and some have shared bathrooms, it's not a big deal really you get used to it. There's also a shared kitchen on each floor with a coffee machine, refrigerator, and microwave. So if you're looking for great hosts with a unique accommodation please give them a try you won't regret it.

Il bello di questa struttura è la posizione, vicino al centro da poter raggiungere a piedi e la facilità di parcheggio in zona. La stanza e la casa normali, camere molto ampie con bagni in comune, nel nostro piano ce n'erano 2. La pecca sono i servizi inesistenti, nella tariffa era inclusa la colazione ma la ragazza che doveva servircela non si è svegliata ed è arrivata solo dopo che uno degli ospiti ha telefonato al proprietario, noi non abbiamo fatto in tempo a farla visto che avevamo l'aereo di rientro

This place was great. I loved the self check-in and check-out. It offered a hassle free and quick arrival and departure. We didn't see many employees or other guests as we were out early in the morning and back late in the evening, but the ones we did meet were very kind and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and warm. We never got cold at night, and while the bathrooms were tiled, the floor was heated. I don't have any complaints about the property, except the fact that the rooms were only cleaned after you checked out. By the end of our five day stay, our bin was overflowing. Overall it's a great place to stay, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to visit Iceland on a budget.

La struttura ha un'ottima posizione, a pochi passi dalla stazione dei pullman BSI, dove si fermano i bus per l'aeroporto di Keflavik, e soprattutto è un comodo punto di prelievo per le numerose escursioni disponibili in Islanda. La struttura è carina, le camere sono semplici e spartane, ma risultano ugualmente comode e ben pulite. Al nostro arrivo visto l'orario, non era presente nessuno in struttura, quindi abbiamo effettuato autonomamente il check in automatico, grazie al codice di accesso inviato dal proprietario. Con una passeggiata di circa dieci minuti si arriva nel grazioso centro storico di Reykjavik.
