The location was pretty convenient. I would say its about 20 minutes walking to the main areas of Reyjavik. if you are taking tours, Tour Bus Stop #12 is under 10 minutes walking which we thought was better than Bus Stop #9 which is also about the same distance since it was in front of the Foss Hotel and had more room to wait. There is a Bonus supermarket just a block away if you need to pick up groceries. I think all of Reyjavik is pretty safe even though this building is around some construction and industrial looking buildings. If you are renting a car, there appears to be plenty of street parking available. One complaint I do have with the building management was that we ran out of toilet paper half way through our stay and asked for more, but the management company said they only provide one roll per stay. I think that is totally unreasonable since there were four of us staying for 6 nights. We had to get our own. This was a small request and not unreasonable. I also think the roll that we had was rest over from the previous guest so it wasn't even a full roll. Got the codes to unlock both the lobby door and apartment doors via email. Easy and convenient process. Remember that if you have a late flight like what we had, you have no place to leave luggage like a hotel and check out is at 11AM. Not a problem if you have a rental car, but you will need to lug your luggage around until you get to the airport. There is a coffee shop down the block too.

The stay was ok for what we needed; the location was a short walk from everything, however the surrounding area was very run down, and the description of ‘city view’ is a stretch. The shower was clogged, which meant having to constantly keep an eye on the water level so it didn’t overflow. Emailed regarding instructions for stay (sorting of rubbish, extra towels, etc.) but never had a response.

We stayed here for 7 nights. The first day we arrived Reykjavik at around 6am and we were not allowed to check in earlier and thus we have to wait until 3pm. When we got into the room, we find crumbs on the table, hair on the bed and garbage in both garbage cans in toilet and under the sink. There were cookware but not any cooking utensils nor silverware provided, it was weird. But luckily I bought my own cutlery. Otherwise, I don’t know what I could do with the food and cookware only. Apart from these, the most unacceptable thing was someone opened the door of my room with a password. Both of us were shocked. I told the people to contact customer service. And I also messaged the customer service but they ignored me. No reply. No apologize. We were lucky that we were in the room when someone opened in door. Otherwise, our things could have been gone if we were not there. We felt really bad. I believe you can get a better place to stay nearby.

Lovely stay…close to bus stop 12 which was great to get around. Walkable to the city centre, great places near by.

Loved this property. We stayed 2 adults and 2 kids for 4 nights and fitted comfortably. The kitchenette and bathroom were perfect for us. The only reason I scored cleanliness a bit lower was the because the fitted sheet on the sofa bed was clean but had two small stains and the smell of food was present when we checked in. Once we opened the balcony door and the front door to let it ventilate it was better. There is a slight smell of rotten eggs from the sulphur of the water in the bathroom but that's normal in Iceland especially when you go to visit the Geysirs. It's part of the charm and super tolerable! There's a Bonus supermarket at walking distance and could easily find parking on the street. We would definitely book this property again. Communication with administrators was great via email. There's a video that explains how to open the door which I highly recommend everyone watch. My kids loved the projector tv that comes down from the ceiling and could watch Netflix. If you are renting a car and don't want to be in the middle of Reykavik but close by, I highly recommend this place,

Fantastic apartment with everything to make your stay comfortable. Had such a wonderful time in Reykjavík and this apartment being to close to the centre was perfect as so much to see and do! Only thing I’d say is being such a modern apartment there aren’t any USB sockets and we’ve just stayed whilst there’s a lot of snow so a small fold up airer would have been useful to dry the wet clothes. Other than that can’t fault it and we will be back!
