I hate to be so harsh but this hotel has the worst customer service of ANY Marriott property I have ever stayed at. I stay more than 120 nights a year in Marriott hotels and have never encounter an unfriendlier staff. It started at check in. I checked in on the app and received a mobile key. When I arrived, I had to run inside and grab a parking pass. When I approached the lady at the counter I was met with silence and a look like I was annoying her. No, “hello” or “welcome”….nothing! Me…”Hi, I checked in on the app and received a mobile key, do I need a parking pass? Clerk…”room number? I gave her the number and she handed me the pass. That was it! I went and parked and walked back into the hotel. You literally have to walk RIGHT in front of the desk and she completely ignored me. I must have walked by the front desk a dozen times over three days and NEVER did anyone ever say anything. My coworker and I were joking about it every time we walked by. No, “Welcome Back,” “Hello”, or “Have a nice day!” NOTHING. When there were two clerks at the desk they would be deep in their conversation and keep talking and ignore you. You are in the HOSPITALITY business! Make your guests feel welcome! When someone travels a lot it’s nice to come back to a hotel with a pleasant and friendly staff. I’ve stayed at many hotels that were older and more dated than this property, but the staff would make the stay exceptional. Not here! As far as the hotel room itself, I had no complaints. It’s clean and quiet but I’ve never left a hotel and felt so unwelcome. Please get your act together and provide some customer service.

During my 13-week travel nurse assignment, I resided at the Courtyard by Marriott and found it to be a pleasant place to stay. As a Titanium Elite member, I was given a plentiful supply of $10-off coupons, but later learned that the policy only entitled me to one per stay. However, I was fortunate to learn of this policy during my final week, and had already taken full advantage of the many coupons, purchasing various items from the on-site ”convenient store” such as beer, wine, and candies. The staff members were the highlight of my stay, making me feel at home, and the bartenders were friendly and attentive, reminding me of the TV show ”Cheers,” where one of the ladies would shout out my name upon my arrival home from work. The location was also convenient, with Total Wine and More, Starbucks, and a decent sushi restaurant located nearby (though the all-you-can-eat option was not recommended due to lengthy wait times for seconds and third servings). Overall, I would rate my stay a solid 4 stars, suitable for business travelers like myself, and though it lacked some luxuries, it was still a pleasant and enjoyable stay.
