La mansarda viene descritta come appartamento "con 3 camere da letto", in realtà c'è una sola vera camera da letto (matrimoniale) da cui si entra direttamente in uno stanzino con un letto singolo; in uno spazio a metà appartamento hanno messo un letto matrimoniale, senza neanche una tenda a separarlo dal resto. Diciamo che sono 5 posti letto e che almeno 3 persone sono a privacy zero. Tutta la mansarda è piena di travi e rinforzi in legno e metallo, in parte veri in parte decorativi; l'effetto non è dei migliori. La posizione è fantastica, al centro e vicina a tutti i punti di interesse e ai trasporti. Il wi-fi ha funzionato a dovere. L'angolo cottura è molto trascurato, con mobili vecchi e una credenza in cui abbiamo trovato - e buttato al volo - diverse confezioni di cibo aperto e scaduto. Si cucina su un fornello elettrico, la presa è a 20 centimetri sopra il lavello. Il bagno ha wc separato, in uno stanzino minimo; nella stanza da bagno la vasca non ha l'asta per tenere in alto il flessibile e non ha tende per riparare gli schizzi: o fate la doccia accovacciati o allagate il bagno. Nelle stanze ci sono poltrone con tanti cuscini, il tutto con un aspetto molto vissuto e qualche macchia di troppo. Nella tariffa è compresa la colazione, che è molto abbondante e comprende: pane affettato, yoghurt bianco, marmellate, dolci acquistati in negozio e fette di torta fatte in casa, latte e succo, frutta. Ogni giorno c'è una torta diversa ma non c'è mai indicato cosa sia ne' gli ingredienti; latte e succhi arrivano in bottiglie aperte, le marmellate in coppette aperte: ognuno mangia quello di cui si sente sicuro.

Ci sia trovati in questo hotel molto caratteristico hotel graticcio un intero appartamento molto ampio con cucina soggiorno e 3 camere di letto interni in stile legno colazione completa e buona in casa sia bollitore che macchina per il caffè buon rapporto qualità prezzo

This was a wonderful place to stay. It was in the middle of the oldest area of Rennes, in a very old building in which the historic features were retained while adding a modern bathroom. The room was comfortable and pleasant, and the proprietors were beyond helpful. I had hurt my leg prior to my stay and the only issue for me was that there was no elevator. (An elevator would not have been possible without compromising the historic nature of the building). A nice breakfast included in the stay. Hotel was just steps from restaurants and shops. When I checked out, there was a foot race blocking the streets and the taxi to take me to the train station didn't come. The proprietor (proprietress?) took my big suitcase and walked with me to the metro which went right to the train station!!!

Fantastic property in a great location. My family of four stayed comfortably in the unit. Shops and restaurants within walking distance, and a great staff at the property. Highly recommend.

We were only in Rennes for one night, but wish it would have been longer. This property was wonderful. Marion, the owner, treats you like family. We were in the Marnie suite, which was quite spacious and right off the main 'family room' area on the 2nd floor (right next to the breakfast nook). This was the most comfy bed we were in during out week in France. The property is from the 16th century, so everything creaks when you walk, but I think that adds to the charm. We have a friend that lives in Rennes and she thinks the street this is on is the most beautiful street in Rennes. Highly recommend this property.

My husband and I met some friends and stayed at Marnie et Mister H together in March 2022. The hotel is in a perfect location! Close to the main Metro station (Republique), blocks away from the Marche des Lices, and a lovely walk to the old center of town, Sainte Anne. The building is older, as many in the area are, and has beautiful, well maintained original features. The owner of the hotel was kind and accommodating. She had great restaurant recommendations and served a delicious breakfast! We will absolutely be back on our next visit to Rennes.

Wonderful location with a great staff and very comfortable rooms. Breakfast was really special and the staff went out of their way to be helpful with things like parking (which can be a bit complicated). Very highly recommended.

We LOVED this place. It's history and location, it's tastefully decorated interior and the exceptional host, all provided for us an amazing experience. Every detail, whether it was the expensive linens we slept in, the homemade breakfast goodies (banana cake one morning, and pancakes the next) or the B&B's personalized guide (including a map, shop/restaurant recommendations, and more), made our stay worthwhile. On a road trip with 4 different accomodations, this was by far our favorite.
