Summer Place Hotel

This place is horrible. Worst place ive ever stayed in. We left after about 20 minutes. Didnt even bother asking for a refund just wanted to get out of there

This is honest, horrible and great property. The bad first The bed was broken and caved in the center. The trim and wall were all different and off center. The AC turned on but didn’t really cool very well. The television is like a foot long and only had one channel, nothing else. Had open wires all over for the lighting. The blinds didn’t have any curtains and the blinds were broken all around so barely functioned. The bathroom has spackle on plaster ok the ceiling and just looks horrible. Also very cramped in the bathroom with no shampoo or conditioner but had hand soap and lotion. The refrigerator and microwave were on the ground and looked ghetto and cheap like the whole place. The stairs to the second floor had loose boards. The great! The front desk I had to call but he came down and helped me immediately and kindly also letting me check in 5 hours early! So thankful. It was ONE block away from the center boardwalk and everything, very convenient. Parking was free for that weekend and said we could park close to the stay which was right where we needed to be! Lots of lighting in the room. Easy to check in and check out overall happy but would only stay here for 1 no more 2 nights and only if I only plan to spend 8 hours to sleep. That’s it. I will go again, just not if I’m on vacation and plan to spend some time around and in the hotel for long periods of time. Not that kind of stay.

Everything is prepared upon arrival, just to grab the key and park the motorcycle by the patio! Ecellent wifi.

Walls were very thin, could hear everyones conversations clearly. For the cost, it wasnt bad, just needs updates such as new electrical outlets

Very low key. Easy check-in/check-out. A place to sleep and shower, exactly what I needed.

A great place to stay if you want save money. Clean, quiet, no smells. AC, microwave, small refrigerator, decent bathroom. The owner - Daniel - is a nice guy. He is modest but I learned that he is a local legend- runner, Ironman, swimmer. You can see many trophies in the hall when you enter. Daniel, you are a great man!

Unfortunately i will give 1 star the location is perfect for sure . Near the beach well located, there was a lack of hospitality. The building is old and the room was in awful dirty condition, poor cleaning smells like mol. bed sheets ripped. bedcovers unwashed floors disgusting Very unpleasant experience. I wont recomend this place .

We just wanted a night in a spot walkable to the beach - this delivered fine. If you plan to be put and need a safe spot to sleep, this is your spit. If you want a spot to hang around in while near the beach, probably look elsewhere. But for what we wanted, it was just right. Refrigerator was uesless. Were I stating more than one night I would have said something.

I will have to say.. out of all the places I have ever stayed at.. this may have been the worst. The owner was not rude to us at all. We had an easy and quick check in. We only stayed one night so we got meter parking right on the side of the building. Meters are free after 10pm until 10am. It's $3 an hour. He doesn't have many parking spaces but was generous enough to offer a customer his spot if he couldn't find any free parking. We checked in and it wasn't as bad as everyone made it seem. Yes, it was run down. Could use a major upgrade. The railing is a bit loose and steps a bit unstable. There isn't a dirty smell in the building but just a unique smell. Can't really describe it but it's strong and tended to bother me a bit. It was worse in the hallway then it was in the room. Our room was clean. There was two stains on our blanket, kind of looked like a sauce stain.. not blood. We ended up just putting our own sheets over the bed and slept on those. The room is small but doable. Microwave was very out dated. The biggest downfall we had was that there was mold in the air conditioner vent. Black dots. We didn't use it because we were afraid to disperse the mold in to the air. It was very stuffy in that room and we had to sleep without the air conditioner. It was also very dusty and unplugged as if no one else had been using it previously. We just weren't taking any chances with that. If we had been able to use it, the stay would've been not as bad.
