Takes a while to get to as a tourist without a cab or car, but the location is splendid next to the river and greeted with a view

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen, das Zimmer war recht groß und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Die Anfahrt mit dem Auto ist etwas umsrändlich, aber auch machbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hotle veramente caratteristicho che si trova sulla rive del Danubio e nel centro della citta di Regensburg. Staff gentile ed accogliente. Le stanze sono molto ampie e confortevoli con ogni confort. Nel mio caso avevo una camera che offriva un panorama fantastico.

In prossimità del centro storico e vicinissimo al ponte di pietra, l'hotel ha anche una posizione invidiabile sul Danubio la cui vista sarà fantastica dalle stanze che guardano verso il fiume. Le stanze sono confortevoli ma manca il frigo bar. Cortese l'omaggio di una bottiglia d'acqua per la camera. Colazione ricca, personale gentile

Beautiful view of the old city, the stone bridge and the Danube River. We really enjoyed looking out over the river, especially at night. The restaurant breakfast was good. All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. Our room was generously sized and very clean and comfortable.

(May 2023) A lovely stop over on our way from Maastricht to Croatia. The hotel is situated in a riverside setting on the Danube which is quite extraordinary. The view across to the old town of Regensburg is quite esquire. Our suite was was triple aspect to take in the entire view. The evenings and mornings were magical with the bells from the old town ringing out and the river moving gentle downstream. The hotel was very comfortable, with a lovely breakfast served in the morning on the terrace directly by the river. A short walk over the bridge to the old town of Regensburg was so easy. The town of course is a hidden gem with lots of history. A joy to visit and enjoy the Bavarian bars and restaurants. As it was Ascension Day public holiday it was joyful to see the local people in the local costume, there was a lovely buzz of energy. A gorgeous and unforgettable stay. Sadly only one night.

We stayed in a river view room. The room was nice and big and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was great space / big bath with shower. Plenty mirrors around the sink.Cleaning standards very high - well done to the housekeeping team. Reception could do with being a bit happier/friendlier. General info on hotel was non existent. There is a really nice bar with spectacular view of the stone bridge but nobody seemed to use it much unless to go outside to smoke and it only opened at 6pm We had our 49th wedding anniversary while we were there and intended to have champagne and dinner in the hotel, but decided that it would not be anything special so we went out instead. Someone said the restaurant was closed as builders were in but then I saw some other people go in. We loved our room and the view but would not stay here again. Management needs to try and develop sone people skills

Great location. I’m guessing it’s expensive to upkeep, and they cut costs other ways. The breakfast is standard. My room was very warm, but I kept the windows open so it was fine. There are numerous great places within walking distance. I believe room service is every three days, so keep this in mind.

An excellent hotel, just a short walk over the old bridge to the heart of the city. Our room was very spacious, and had a lovely view of both the city and the river. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a nice beer garden next door and an Irish pub over the bridge, which was the only lively place in town after 9pm

The Sorat Insel-Hotel was a nice hotel in a GREAT location! The river/Old Town view from our room was AWESOME! It was just a short walk across a bridge to the Old Town of Regensburg. The room was large, clean and had comfortable beds. It did not have air conditioning, but was very comfortable while we were there. The hotel restaurant breakfast had lots of choices for 17 euro. The hot chocolate at breakfast was not worth 12 euro! There are a lot of restaurants within a short walk. We would definitely stay here again.

I decided to start our trip through Europe as I used to live in this area for eight years. This is a fabulous hotel with a wonderful staff. We have a rental car and parking is available on-site and is extremely convenient, there is an extra cost. Rooms are in excellent condition, decent size. Spent two wonderful days in Regensburg before we moved on. Travelers you won't be disappointed here.

The hotel had been recommended to us by several friends and we were not disappointed. The suite was very large with amazing views on two sides overlooking the river and the cathedral. Staff very friendly and professional. Will definitely come again!
