Redondo Beach: hotel con bar

We checked into Shade for our wedding weekend and it was all downhill from there. When making the reservation, which was prepaid we indicated we were staying there the night before, night of and night after the wedding. As we got closer to the day, the hotel sent a form to fill out asking if you were staying for specific occasion and if you had any special requests. I again indicated that we were staying for our wedding and asked for extra towels and glasses as the bridal party would be getting ready there saturdqy, the day of the wedding. The form crashed multiple times and after 3 tries I emailed the reservation email alias. I told the lady we were going to be there for our wedding and also asked about the pool upstairs which is really just a Luke warm 3 1/2 foot deep hot tub. She indicated the bar would not be open but we could order from the restaurant downstairs. She also said we could rent a cabana for 6 people. The conversation didn’t go further than that. The reservation indicates that when anyone checks in you should receive a glass of champagne and a tasty snack, we received neither upon checkin. The young man checking us in asked if we were there for anything special, when I again said yes we are staying for our wedding, his response was “oh cool”. So not sure why I spoke directly to a reservation person who never noted we were staying for our wedding. We went to Sandals for our honeymoon and when we checked in we were greeted as Mr and Mrs, taken to our room where there were rose petals and a bottle of champagne waiting for us. Also on the reservation it indicated there was a $32/per day amenity fee which I was expecting. The check in person asked for a card to hold, at which point I said we had already prepaid our room. I said here’s my credit card. I had used my debit card to book the room originally as I had been given cash my a family member to book the room. The kid indicated they have a “one card policy”, which as someone who used to work in hotels I had never heard of. I assumed my card would be authorized for the $32/night amenity fee. After getting to our room I got a notification from my bank saying there was a $350 charge from the hotel. Without knowing and without being able to change cards they charged, not held a $350 on my debit card. It was also $1200 for 3 nights. I would expect more for that price. When we got to our room, there was one roll of toilet paper and no hand soap. We had dinner at the restaurant at the hotel Friday night with another couple and the bill was $600, we did not order anything crazy but the prices are clearly out of touch with the regular person. I woke up Saturday morning, the day of my wedding with severe food poisoning. I did not eat anything Friday night other than the food I had at the restaurant at Shade. I was violent if throwing up my entire wedding day. While I was sick my bridesmaids realized we were out of toilet paper and still did not have any hand soap. They tried to call

Viviamo vicino e abbiamo avuto un # di ospiti in questo Crowne Plaza negli ultimi 20 anni. Volevamo una pausa dal caldo rilassandoci nella loro piscina e godendoci l'aria condizionata per una notte o 2. Sfortunatamente, NON c'era relax in piscina: 1) era sovraffollato [superando il limite massimo. di 25]; 2) c'erano più di 20 bambini piccoli con un numero di enormi giochi da piscina [non forniti]; 3) NESSUNA chiave era necessaria per entrare/uscire dall'area della piscina come al solito [facile accesso 4 persone]; 4) tutti i refrigeratori di birra, cibo fatto in casa, uso eccessivo e abuso di asciugamani per la piscina [dovremmo recuperare i nostri asciugamani Rm], rifiuti, ecc. hanno chiarito che la maggior parte delle persone in piscina NON erano ospiti dell'hotel. È stata un'esperienza deludente in piscina. Tuttavia, non tutto è stato deludente. La camera era pulita, l'aria condizionata era fresca, il cibo di Rm Svc era gustoso, la biancheria da letto era confortevole e il personale era professionale ed educato.

Hotel molto bello, molto pulito e professionale e le viste sono state belle da soli con la vita marina.

Questo è stato il mio secondo soggiorno qui. L'hotel è praticamente dove va mia moglie durante i nostri viaggi attraverso Redondo Beach. Il soggiorno è stato altrettanto buono se non migliore di prima. L'unica cosa era che non c'era la colazione calda a causa del covid, cosa che capisco. Ma gli altri hotel offrono una colazione al sacco, ero solo curioso di sapere perché questo hotel non lo era? Durante il nostro primo soggiorno, è stata fornita la colazione calda (ovviamente pre-covid). Ma nel complesso, soggiorno eccellente, e ci tornerò sicuramente!

Il normale livello di Hilton negli Stati Uniti, anche se sul bordo ad alta velocità, il suono è buono, molto tranquillo, c'è un 15 minuti di auto da Aeroporto Internazionale, ma non c'è autobus di shuttle all'hotel. Devi prendere il tuo autobus. Il posto di autobus deve prendere un passaggio dalla porta d'arrivo
